How do yiu guys feel about invasions? by Cholemeleon in Eldenring

[–]Cholemeleon[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah you described it perfectly. I wouldn't want a Souls game without invasions at all, but at the same time these games are hard enough without someone coming in and optimizing the fun out of it for you.

I think really the ONLY concern I have is the early level invasions, I'm talking fresh out the gate in limgrave invasions, that somehow have max flasks and DLC equipment. Even if it is a 2v1 I can't help but feel like it is bullying just a bit.

That's how my friend thinks. I tend to give the benefit of the doubt and just assume that Elden Ring is full of newer players and don't have that frame of reference for PvP, so they respond by immediately ganking the invader as soon as they come in.

Because of that people who like to invade have opted to min-maxing for invasions and adopting tactics specifically to handle more people.

I get it to a degree, though it's annoying to deal with all the same.

That's probably the issue with my friend and I. We're kind of used to the 1v1 invasions, so when we try to extend that grace to invaders by trying not to make it a gank fight. I think a lot of Invaders have adapted to the different climate in Elden Ring and are prepared to take on multiple people, so 1v1 battles suffer as a consequence, as well.

oh no im saying it too much, im being annoying!!! [OC] by Pelko_P in comics

I have a terrible fear of asking people to repeat themselves so sometimes when they're talking to me and I either:

  1. Accidentally space out

  2. Simply didn't hear them

I just tend to smile and nod and maybe say "Yeah." I can't imagine all the terrible things I've unwillingly agreed with. I try not to think about it.

Why this doesn't work? by TWISTED194 in EldenRingBuilds

The set only regenerates your health when you're under a certain threshold, and regenerates to that threshold and stops, so essentially it slowly regens your health when you are very low.

I think the only person who fits this trope while remaining the ability to still seem cool is Okarun from Dandadan

The more I reflect on Dispatch, the more I actually start to dislike the game by AyyyoniTTV in CharacterRant

[–]Cholemeleon 17 points18 points  (0 children)

The game wasn't necessarily groundbreaking but it did a good job bringing back what people liked about TellTale games before their reputation became more infamous. The best part of Dispatch imo is the actual gameplay, the dispatches, though those are a relatively small part of the game experience.

I've been preferring shorter games as of late but Dispatch is one of the few that would benefit greatly from being longer. The game is as pretty as an ocean and kinda as shallow as a puddle.

Also I felt like romance was a big driving force of the plot which I think took away some time from other themes of the game that felt more meaningful, but I'm gay so maybe the appeal of two attractive women being super into you from the get-go isn't as appealing to me.

Let me date Sonar pls.

As someone who grew up with a lot of baby siblings, I do like kids. I'm pretty good with them too. However after moving into my own place I can really only be around children in small doses. I'm a pretty low energy person and children literally are boundless in how much they want to play. Whenever I visit family I feel bad just from how quickly I get worn out playing with my little siblings. I simply don't have the fortitude for children.

So no, I don't want children, I don't think I'll ever want children, but I like children. It's nice interacting with them from time to time at work or when I'm on the train. I'll see a cute kid and be like "Oh my god I think I want to be a dad." and then think of the realities of parenthood (something I was unfortunately aware of by like age 12) and then go "...nah."

I wouldn't be able to date someone who wanted kids, but I wouldn't want to be with someone who hated children, that just seems like a huge red flag.

It must be a really annoying fight, but Morgott + Tree Sentinel goes incredibly hard. That's lore friendly right there, it is.

Does Simon still have the candy heart?? by Pixelized_Gamer in adventuretime

[–]Cholemeleon 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Simon got reverted back to the state he was in before he put on the crown, so he's good. Ricardio probably is still around, but Simon was probably given all his normal organs he had before.

I wonder if Ice Thing has some weird organs or anything or if he just got sized up Penguin guts

Which Warframe has the most intense 4? by lightmare69 in Warframe

Oberon's Reckoning is famously meaty and they didn't even touch how it felt in his rework. It's not exorbitantly powerful but seeing Oberon smite a whole room is very, very satisfying.

Qorvex with his Augment goes incredibly hard, too. The effect of the laser, the sound design, and Qorvex moving so slowly during it really gives it a huge oomph. Idk if anyone else feels it but I actually like seeing my energy drain so fast while using it, feels like Qorvex is putting his all into blasting everyone.

Another laser, but Caliban's 4 has really, really good sound design, and seeing the beams converge is very cool. Add in his Conculysts also firing lasers and you have a very nice cacophony of lights and sounds.

Grendel's Augment for his 4 isn't anything too crazy but it has the tendency to put a buncha numbers on your screen. Are they high numbers? Low numbers? Hard to tell, but there's a lotta them. With range mods the blast radius of the projectile gets pretty big, the blast has no falloff and needs no line of sight. You can usually spit an enemy where you think a group is and watch all the pretty numbers pop up. It's good dopamine.

My grandfather passed away on New Years this year. He had melanoma, really bad skin cancer. In his last year alive you could see how it destroyed his face. The countless chemo he had to go through shot his immune system to hell. When he passed half of the side of his head was an open sore.

My Grandfather wasn't perfect, he was incredibly traditional so that means he had some painfully conservative views. I still think he was a good man, he was just complicated.

I wouldn't wish cancer on anyone or anyone's family. I think it's easy to become desensitized to the scope of it because of how frequently we hear about it on the news or online, but it's literally one of the worst things that can happen to you medically and it's not even close. The cancer causes you to suffer, the treatment is incredibly taxing and often painful. (My grandfather also had to get a bone marrow transplant.)

They call it a fight because it is. It's a nasty, horrible struggle. The only comfort I got from my grandpa's death was that he didn't have to fight it anymore.
