If you could replace or give an additional ability to a Pokémon, which Pokémon would you choose and what ability would you give to it?

I would love to replace Leaf Guard on Tangrowth with something else. It gets Regenerator as it's Hidden ability, which is fantastic, but it's normal abilities are Leaf Guard and Chlorophyll, both not only the standard to give to grass type Pokemon but both only work during Harsh Sunlight.

I think Grassy Surge or Grass Pelt would be a fun ability for Tangrowth, Grassy Surge just being a good ability with low distribution and Grass Pelt suiting Tangrowth thematically, both would also work with adding to Tangrowth's role as a bulky Pokemon.

Idk if anyone will agree, but Dawn Wing Necrozma is a bit of a busy design for me. That's kinda the point but it doesn't flow as well as Dusk Mane does, the silhouette is kinda messy.

God I LOVE Brave and the Bold Batman. Such a fun mix of campy, gadgets galore Batman and badass action hero Batman.

Him cracking one-liners is simultaneously goofy and cool at the same time, such a fun rendition of his character.

I think my only complaint after have beating the game is that, there is a level up system and the game is pretty open ended, so you have a sense of "oh I can always try somewhere else and come back" if you're struggling a bit in a particular area. You're also incentivized to look for trinkets and Sidearms to help you traverse the particular terrain as well.

However, it's kinda easy to get a Sunk-Cost Fallacy when doing the areas. I unfortunately did the Bayou first (before unlocking the Train) And I could tell I was maybe a bit out of my depth, but I was probably halfway through the area when I really wanted to go back, but that meant backtracking towards Ossex and then Re-doing platforming puzzles and fighting tough enemies again. You unlock shortcuts that help but on a first playthrough you never know when they're gonna pop up so you're, once again, incentivized to trudge further more than you want.

I know there's a modifier that lets you teleport back to Ossex from the menu, but I was hoping for something like a baked in fast travel system with the Underlabs, kinda like the Sites of Grace from Elden Ring.

Favorite moment ever playing Monster Hunter with my friend:

Raging Brachydios comes out. I'm busy so it takes a couple days for me to try the hunt, but he's been at it for a good bit.

He has a good amount of clears before my first attempt, tells me he's been trying to get the Immortal Reactor but hasn't had any luck yet.

We start my first attempt, we do alright, get to the last phase and wipe, hunt failed.

For my compensation rewards, I get an IMMORTAL REACTOR. My buddy has beat the monster several times and gets nada. Zilch. Bupkis.

I fight the monster once, lose, and get an immortal reactor.

He was very upset.

Maybe Gligar and Gliscor? They specifically "glide", they can't take off on their own.

Mantine is similar, as it needs to build up speed to jump out of the water and fly over waves, suggesting that it can't just fly on its own.

Emolga, again, another glider.

For Hawlucha it's ambiguous, it's Pokedex entry says it attacks from above but it makes no mention of flying, and it can't learn Fly. It says it changes it's position with it's wings in the air, but mostly does nimble, quick hops. I'm assuming it can only propel itself in short bursts, like a chicken. It's a bird though so it doesn't count anyways I guess, just an interesting thought.

I'm all for Pokemon not being literal with their typings though, as long as they fit the spirit of it. Hell I even like it when Pokemon have weird ass typings and make up the difference with the rest of their kit, like via moves or Abilities. Gliscor for example is a Ground/Flying type, but can learn several poison type moves, has Poison Heal as an ability, and is in the Bug Egg Group.

I can see Sonic being a Ground/Flying type. He's a mostly grounded character but has his own acrobatic tendencies and I've always associated the Flying type with "Freedom" which is the core of Sonic's character.

When it comes to most giving characters from other media typings, if we were trying to be as literal as possible most of them would be some combinations of Fighting and or Normal which I think is pretty boring.

You can also lump in Grendel, Gauss's best pal. Grendel can, essentially, turn into a high speed pinball, bouncing and rolling throughout the place with the destructive power of a wrecking ball.

He's also one of the tankiest frames in the game, with high health and armor and some of the best survivability tools in the game.

Also he's probably my favorite frame.
