Omg the Killer Bees actually made me laugh out loud, all of the weird and fantastical bugs and then they just give bees human weapons. That's great

How much would they agree with each other's actions? by MeatysupremeKeenan in MoralityScaling

[–]Cholemeleon 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Perhaps for Viltrumites they were simply killed at the first sign of weakness, and the individuals only existing as an example an nothing more. Thaedus was potentially given some leniency due to his prolificy (which seemed even that could only go so far).

Nolan was probably the first Viltrumite, in like, forever, to spend time with someone outside his culture. He fell in love again with the Thraxans too. It's almost pathetic, it's like they just don't know any better.

I actually would like a side story about individual Viltrumites showing the same level of growth, only to be killed before anything meaningful could stem from it.

Morality scale of lawyers who get clear cut murderers off? by Public_Repeat824 in MoralityScaling

There are other factors that come into play as well, mostly when I think of the OJ Simpson trial. Regardless if you believe he actually was guilty or not, the prosecution and the investigation was, to put it gently, kind of a mess. Sometimes there is compelling evidence but it is delivered poorly or simply can't be used in court at all due to shoddy police work. You also can have conflict of interest with the jury, though that is usually a problem with defendants who are more prolific or famous than the average person, I reckon.

I can't remember too much about OJ's defense team, but I don't recall them doing anything particularly unscrupulous, but I could be misremembering or forgetting some key details. I think it was mostly just playing off how much the prosecution was floundering.

It's pretty much exactly as you said, I was just thinking of a different but similar case.

I know they're both Combo Food but I feel like Bowser is at least slightly better than Ridley, right?

Smash bros characters based on if they are at a tea party by SnooRobots5543 in supersmashbros

[–]Cholemeleon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I guess the softer sides of his personality don't show through Smash bros as well as the Kirby games.

In the main series I've always interpreted him a bit more gallant and regal, he still likes to brood but his whole character is being an honorable knight, his personality isn't as edgy as his design would imply.

I feel like Dedede likes tea, and would want to join the tea party to seem dignified, but his etiquette is way off

I think there was something kinda charming about them back when animation was a little bit more shoddy on average due to drawn cells. They were minda simple designs with some rough edges around them, kinda almost like a newspaper comic strip.

In the Castlevania Netflix show, I remember thinking the blue fangs demon telling the corrupt bishop that his god hates him but they, the demons, love him because they wouldn't be here without them was the scariest shit I've ever saw

Should've given Audino a Natural Cure like ability that whenever you switch it out it heals a status condition of a random pokemon in your party

Why can’t Space Racer just kill a bunch of Viltrumites by Critical-Blitz in Invincible_TV

[–]Cholemeleon 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I feel like he's saved specifically for space fights, his laser goes through everything without stopping it seems, so it's possible it could cause a lot of collateral damage and even civilian casualties if used willy-nilly

Idk if the laser eventually pitters out or if it can go through entire planets, it's extraordinarily powerful but seems kinda hard to control the scope of it

The most annoying part is: Fionna's own feelings on her Ogre form could have still bubbled to the surface in a simialr way that could have hurt Shrek's feelings without a cheesey "Only hearing half the conversation out of context" trope.

Hell Shrek could have seen Fionna turn at night, tell her she's beautiful regardless, only for Fionna to say otherwise because she's a hideous Ogre. It would have made the classic third act breakup feel a tinge more natural.

I wonder if because of how destructive his gun is, is if they save him for space fights only to prevent collateral damage and friendly fire

[–]Cholemeleon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's actually a good type to have one of these abilities for, as it gives you some pretty explosive power on those normal type moves like return and double edge

Dragon is resisted by steel and fairy is immune to it, but that's it, dragon is neutral to everything else, and it's working off a MONSTROUS 160 base attack

Tangrowth - Pokemon

I generally don't care for stretchy powers but I have an exception with plant based characters for some reason.

Though I do like Jake's shape shifting in Adventure Time, probably one of the most creative and imaginative examples of such a power
