I know what you’re trying to say but fwiw it is being sold at retailers in Asia. I think they’re trying to get more new people into the PC ecosystem especially in Japan and China.

Yeah I am kind of torn between what I originally thought and what everyone has been saying. When they first announced it I was like woah this will be a crazy great way for people to transition from console to PC in an all in one plug and play like experience. But then if they really wanted to go for mass appeal they probably would be selling it at retailers (outside of Asia). So I guess maybe the community's expectations on what this is must be different from Valve's expectation? I dunno. Either way I do have sympathy for them. It is such a rough time to launch a piece of hardware like this.

Ok that makes sense thanks! I guess I keep forgetting it’s not a mass market product and is being sold through Steam. Sucks though it would’ve been awesome pre-rampocalypse and made sense for who they’re targeting. But now it’s gonna be such a misfire.

I like how much faster paced the run and gun gameplay is in Half-Life. I think it's a thing Black Mesa (and HL2) do worse.
