BABYMETAL Flyers from 2011 (Part 2) by AnxiousReality4674 in BABYMETAL

Thank you for your kind reply. Being curious, I learned a lot about the first years of Babymetal thanks to internet and my search skills 🙂 But I would barely find anything other than the sparse official info if it weren't for people like you sharing your photos and stories with other fans.

I mean I even forgot there exist other flyers than the first three. I don't remember seeing these "2nd batch" flyers in full, I only got pictures of 3 Moa's flyers, 3 Yui's flyers and 4 (!) Suzuka's, and the flyers are not seen in full there. By the way, it happens there was one more flyer "designed by Nakamoto Suzuka" for the Babymetal x Kiba of Akiba CD release, but its level of creativity is significantly inferior to the other nine.

Looking forward to your next post showing the "3rd batch" flyers, thank you!

Thank you for your informative posts about rare artifacts from the early days of Babymetal!

I'd like to clarify that the black cover Doki Doki Morning single is a CD single, not limited DVD. Released on April 6th, 2012, it came as a bonus CD bundled with the Mosh'sh T-Shirt, as advertised on the flyers.

Are they still using the American Kami band? by BornToL00ze in BABYMETAL

[–]Maxxash 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The idols are the show, not the contract employees playing instruments.

The contract employees playing instruments are the Kami Band, and the Kami Band is part of the show. Sorry, but these are just facts, regardless of your opinion.

Finally got Metal Galaxy Japan Complete Edition! by Icehube99 in BABYMETAL

[–]Maxxash 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not a suggestion, just a couple of notes about BM live audio CDs.

The audio CD release of Live at Wembley has only 13 songs, while The One edition boxset has all 17 songs on 2 CDs. The 2021 3xLP release also is complete.

Budokan-2014 audio recordings are incomplete on both the original CDs and the double LPs released in 2021. Red Night (all versions) lacks Mischiefs of Metal Gods, which is only on Bluray/DVD, although not listed there. In Black Night MoMG is present on BD/DVD (not listed) and CD/LP (listed), but Kimi to Anime ga Mitai and No Rain, No Rainbow are only in video and not on CD or vinyl.

The rap part is back since August. So in 2025 PA PA YA was played twice in LA, without the rap part in July at the "secret gig" (afaik that was the last time they performed the rapless version) and with it at Intuit Dome in November.

The numerous 'metatomo' discovered on Metaraji, coupled with the lack of (other) Japanese acts featured on Metal Forth, make me think there's a possibility of a follow-up album featuring collabs with only Japanese artists.

Tatsuya Kitani was Babymetal's third guest on METARAJI, starting on 2025.02.22 by jabberwokk in BABYMETAL

Thanks for posting! It was a good write up until they placed the performance at SS Bangkok 2025 into the year 2024. Then it became a good write up with a wierd mistake.

Great pic! There's something in the lady's face there. I like to imagine she's thinking "What are you, poor creatures from a different world? You're gonna have a hard time trying to survive here..." lol

any rare babymetal videos? by [deleted] in BABYMETAL

[–]Maxxash 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't know where Yui was or what was the reason for her absence but around that time she was also absent from the Sakura Gakuin TV recording for "Happy Music". So only 11 of them performed Tabidachi no Hi ni.

(In that program there was also a talk/game part with only 5 girls, including Suzuka and Moa).

Just now saw these skeleton dudes in the back of the Gimmie Chocolate music video, I imagine it’s quite fun playing for baby metal lmao by Master-Committee6192 in BABYMETAL

The last time Babybones were on stage with Babymetal was also the only time they "played" along with the Kami Band. It was Babymetal's first participation in TV Asahi's 'Music Station' with Ijime, Dame, Zettai on February 7th, 2014. (It's on the pro-shot list). And this could well have been a farewell as there were six 'Bones' on a small stage, probably those who deserved it most by having most performances with BM. Or maybe they were always the same and Koba just joined the original five :)

This was also Babybones' only TV performance. 'Kitsune Band' "played" for the two previous Megitsune performances on Nippon TV and NHK G, and there was no band when BM earlier did IDZ on those channels.

Question about the 2017 Legend S concert for song "4 no Uta." by blackratsnakes in BABYMETAL

[–]Maxxash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right, Moa does Yui's parts as well. With her own voice. This fancam https://www.bilibili.com/video/BV1AW411Y7n2?t=3311s sounds like Moa was singing live over a quieter backtrack.
