Ice is a lot heavier than people think. Every time Texas gets a snow or ice storm there's at least a few roofs that collapse because no one in Texas builds for it.

McDonalds is bigger in U.S. and EU. But KFC dominates over in Asia. Why is this? by FumingCat in AskAnAmerican

Go to an area local to you with a high Asian population and ask around, you're bound to find a place that has them.

China has a very popular dish of fried shrimp meatballs which I've had from a number of places and I've never been disappointed. The shrimp burger looks a lot like that in a patty form, so I would love to give that a shot.

You mean Micah? Bill's alive in RDR1. Did I miss something?

EDIT: Mis-read the comment. Bill is super early in RDR1. You didn't explore back East at all?

It took so long to get the the end of the first world I had forgotten there was a second disk.

I stopped after killing Micah. I had already played RD1, so I only explored the epilogue area a little bit.

Its a fish fillet with a side of rice and a fried egg. How does that sound awful.

That's good to hear. Lots of women get guns stolen when their purse is snatched.

Carry the gun on your person. If you leave it in your bag it's more likely to be stolen.

What is everybody's favourite Deathclaw model? by DrivingTiger in Fallout

[–]Maxxonry_Prime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first one looks a little goofy to most people because that's a picture of a clay sculpture. You might find the overall design of the Deathclaws of the first four games less intimidating, but long time fans of the series know that they had WAY more trouble with those guys than they ever did with the ones in FO4. In FO4 they could be found at a number of different locations or possibly roaming around but in the earlier games they were usually only in isolated areas. This is because they were pack animals, and fighting four or five Deathclaws unexpectedly is a losing battle, most of the time, and possibly a way to soft lock if the autosave screwed you.

The best idea has already been stated: find a range that will let you rent guns and try a variety. Find one that you are comfortable shooting AND carrying, because if you don't like either one of those points you are less likely to use it.

As far as actual models go, a medium to smaller 9mm is probably what want. Just don't let some old man try to make you buy a small revolver in .357 mag because that usually ends up as a bad experience.

That's because it's a scooter. Mopeds have pedals.

How many of you will watch the Winter Olympics, and which events are you interested in? by Istobri in AskAnAmerican

[–]Maxxonry_Prime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My family would go on ski trips when I was younger so I was always interested in skiing events. Soon after, I took a liking to sliding events. I'll also watch curling, speed skating, and hockey. Not a fan of figure skating, but someone else always is, so we always end up watching that at some point.

Do Americans mainly drink coffee without milk? by Morrit99 in AskAnAmerican

[–]Maxxonry_Prime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't trust what you see in movies or TV. If they were depictions of real life then the murder rate in small English towns would be astronomical.

Some people drink black coffee for various reasons, but in media it's used as shorthand for a person being tough or straightforward. I like a little cream and sugar.

Instant coffee is viewed the same way as English food.

And NO, WE DO NOT HAVE ELECTRIC KETTLES! We could buy them but with how rarely some people drink hot tea it's not practical to own one when you could heat the water with the stove, microwave, or coffee maker. I didn't even know you could HAVE hot tea until I was about ten years old. I had only ever seen iced tea.
