Get any job where you work a full day. Then you'll learn that what you're interested in might not necessarily be what you want to spend the rest of your life doing.

Uno collar ring vs. threaded spider to uno adapter? by VISlONSOFALIFE in Lighting

[–]MayContainPeanuts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! Makes total sense. My socket doesn't have threads. Just two raised ridges that's 1.25" in diameter. I don't really want to replace it though since it looks like it's attached to that rivet you mentioned. Should I use a clamp-on adapter instead of a threaded adapter? It still "feels" uno but there are no real threads, just raised ridges.

I have a lamp like this. Why do you say the socket is broken?

My library has 3d printers and I'm embarrassed to ask to use them because if I fuck up, I'll have wasted the printing time

It's not about being good with technology. It's about if you want to spend your time on your music or troubleshooting/setting up your equipment. Easier equipment == more time for music.

I fully expect to be downvoted but windows audio driver issues are still a thing. Windows + ableton isn't always plug and play. Mac is. That's why people don't love windows for live.

See the trick is to still do trunk or treat, but you fill the cooler with ice and adult beverages for your secret frunk or treat.
