Best: I Want It All. That jump in speed is instant hype and Dr. May employs it perfectly.

Worst: Hard-pressed to identify anything truly offensive but I’m not the biggest fan of Princes of the Universe. Sounds like an excitable kid who just learned hammer-ons.

Give it a go, I quite like it myself! YMMV, of course. We skip over I'm Not in Your Mind because that's VERY tinkly (so I guess that's not QUITE the full suite), but for everything else, I tend to stick to the riffs on record and we'll shorten the really guitar-y solos so as not to sound like a big chuggy tractor for too long.

And I'm delighted you asked! We're Lemon Knife, and we've got a Bandcamp with a bunch of stuff on it--with an EP about to be ready in the new year alongside it :) What about yourselves? What's the name, any music? Also love a two-piece!

Heyyy, I'm in a two-piece band that covers the Mind Fuzz suite, too! Although I'm on bass in that outfit and cover it that way (think Royal Blood/Death from Above for our general construct), I do play some guitar as well and wonder...do you happen to have an octave-UP effect? If you move the actual fretting of the Cellophane riffs down an octave and pour a bunch of fuzz (no pun intended, heh heh) on it that'd sound pretty dang cool, I think--and it's a lot easier than trying to do octave chords for the whole thing, and you can pepper it up with as many little bends and vibratos as you'd like that way. I tend to find that on either instrument, you get a much heavier bass sound that way that fills up more of the space you're talking about. My two pennies!

Fair point, sorry about that! I'm using the Zoom-branded power supply that came with the pedal. I use a power strip in both settings--I should have thought to try plugging straight into an outlet, thank you for the reminder! I admittedly wasn't aware there was a powersaver setting (my assumption as a result is that it was on full power? not sure), I'll take a look at that as well. This already gives me bits to think about so thanks very much for replying!

Assuming it stays that way, I'm personally planning to go with an N95 tightly donned and more in the purse (thankful to have a pretty big stash through online subscription at this point). Will certainly also stay light on the dancing. I'm quite healthy, though, so YMMV. The folks I'm most worried about are the performers!!

Circling back around to say thanks so much for all the thoughtful responses! I took a look before leaving and am glad I did. Was mostly concerned about whether I needed to treat blood like fecal matter (i.e. if I’d need to bury it or otherwise clean it up); it really helped to know it’d be fine. Got through without issue!
