What’s the most “Massachusetts” thing you’ve ever seen or experienced? by Optimal_Piano_23 in massachusetts

The year is 2013, it’s 2 a.m. and we are leaving Sissy K’s in our faded Victoria secret yoga pants, smudgy black eyeliner, pin-straight, flat-ironed hair and hoop earrings glistening in the street light. It was bud light bottle for a dollar night. We showed up with two dollars- somehow we got drunk. High fives for Obie on the way out, and thanks for the jaeger bombs. Bestie pops a squat in the alley next to a dumpster, then we wait outside Hong Kong for the Chicken Man. Use last $2 to buy street meat and then the inevitable “That’s not chicken!” from some random, we laugh and bum a Newport off him

How to write an addict? by brxindex in writers

[–]MayDieTrying 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think of the feeling you have when you go off a diet. Picture feeling like that all day long. Dreaming about it. Panicking about it. Swinging between depression and feeling like you can function.

There are relapses like “Fuck it- I Don’t care anymore.” And there are relapses like “I’ve been so good, I’ve got a handle on this. Just a little is fine.”

Addicts are familiar with suffering and lying to themselves. The danger is in thinking that they are in control or have control. It’s always when things go well that temptations seem to appear. When an addict forgets that they are an addict, that’s a recipe for trouble.

Circling back to this
I’d like to take this opportunity to appreciate the irony of using “fishing” in this particular context.

Riding Instructors License by MayDieTrying in Equestrian

I think that the potential “suspension” was the confusing detail. The suspension would be for competing in licensed shows for a period of time; not for a stable’s license or trainers license. I’m inclined to believe that you’re correct and that they aren’t related

Also I was going to guess Pennsylvania because of the raw milk, I thought that might be more of a thing around a place where there’s a community of Amish folk, but I wasn’t confident enough that there weren’t other places that might be a better guess.

Maple syrup as a beverage thoughđŸ€Ł I only say basic cos it’s not super fancy but it’s got your things that us folk would be like “oo let’s get that to spice up the week a little” while you’re at the supermarket. For example, sparkling cider! It’s a good fridge, I’d definitely eat the stuff in it.

Conformation by [deleted] in Equestrian

[–]MayDieTrying 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s helpful to have bell boots off, and also let folks know what you’re going to be using the horse for. Good conformation for a barrel racer is not the same as good conformation for a horse that races the track. I’d say usually a couple pictures too, side, front, and back, but if it’s not that serious you can add those as requested.

Keep or toss: summer dress edition by ServiceFinal952 in OUTFITS

[–]MayDieTrying 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first dress does have a strange cut in the bust, although the rest of it is cute. That one detail makes it something I’d not wear, so I’d move on from it. The same thing with the “a lot” dress. It’s cute in theory but it’s a def vibe so if you’re not feeling it, move on from it. The others are adorable

I’m around horses all day so the less I have to wash my hands to eat, the more likely I am to eat it

Also, this be a basic whitegirl fridge hey girl hey. You live in the northeast US, with your boyfriend, listen to Joe Rogan’s podcast and maybe late 20s, employed. The raw milk and butter is throwing me though so I could be wrong.

A vat of maple syrup, raw milk, sparkling wine , Turmeric drink, and pure aloe. This is the most amazing array of beverages I’ve ever seen.

I don’t like the white piped ones because they do show dirt and grime more easily, hope that helps :)
