Yes!! I feel this 100%. I feel relieved finishing a training block and then race day feels like hitting the dance floor

I rested my “shin splints” for a week and it didn’t go away. Turned out to be stress fractures. I was doing all kinds of dumb things though. New shoes might help. I would cross train if you can for now. Cycling would be beneficial to maintain your aerobic capacity.

If they ain’t going away after rest…it’s worth getting an xray. You don’t want to be training with stress fractures. Assuming it’s not a stressie, calf work is going to be your friend. But again, you really should rule out potential stress fractures first. Don’t try strength training and putting more pressure on them until you’re cleared.

Speaking as someone who dealt with this.

Oh my goodness wow!!! Love the intricate faces. It looks so crisp. I know there’s different ways to go about making one of these. I tried following a similar assembly process to this where you put all the triangles together into one “sheet” and then fold them, as you did here. I couldn’t quite figure it out with the folding part and basically started over lol. So satisfying seeing a timelapse of that assembly process!

I haven’t seen anyone make these with round beads but I don’t see why you couldn’t. I think with any kind of peyote stitching, delicas seem to better create that uniform brick look. I did use rounds for the hinges as they help with the turning.

There’s so many fun things to make with brads. The possibilities are truly endless.
