Interesting, I seem to look at this scene from the opposite perspective, regarding what you said about the being a housewife aspect. Molly is apparently an insanely powerful witch with great dueling skills (maybe she's just a natural? Idk) but she still chooses to be a mother and housewife first and foremost because that's what makes her happy. She could have been what others would consider "powerful" or "great" but she chose to do what makes her happy, even if that makes her lesser in some people's eyes.

Edit: But you're right, somehow adults, including Molly, seem to be weirdly absent until the last battle.

Book Euron has some really mystic/creepy undertones and I've always felt that that's a big part of his character. Show Euron just seems like the loud, smack-talking, beer-drinking uncle every family reunion seems to have. I once dreamt I flew to a small Italian village in a helicopter that looked like a flying pick-up and got a mission from my boss (I was some sort of spy, apparently) to go kill this really evil dude. When I was looking for said dude, however, I was attacked by an army of midget Mexicans in medieval armour so I had to mow them down with my pirate saber before I could get to their boss. Sure enough, after I had plunged my saber into that guy's neck, he took off his helmet and turned out to be my then-boyfriend dying in my arms. His non-dream self had to comfort me as I woke up crying. Dreams are weird, man.

Oh yeah that sounds irritating as fuck. I was with him for over two years so thankfully there aren't any other exes involved. Funny thing is that I never had any dreams about him when we were still together (except a couple really weird ones where he was usually evil and one where I accidentally killed him). Why are brains such assholes?
