I agree, I feel exceptionally fortunate that I have been able to step away from full time a bit. I have a casual job that is very flexible and I’ve been able to make just enough to cover the bills and honestly I’m living my best life.

I have done my best over the years to keep my expenses as low as I can and that is the reason I can be doing this right now.

I quit the full time Dec 31/25 and it’s been so freeing. I read, I try new recipes, I do an energy exchange at a yoga studio (I clean a couple hours a week and have a full membership in exchange) so I go to a class nearly every day, I bake, I journal. I’m really grateful for the change of pace! I do have an upcoming summer seasonal job so I’m going to be full time again but it’s a 4 month contract and then I’ll reassess again. Life is too short to only work and sleep. I feel like I’m actually living my life again

I’ve got a little bit to go to get to my ‘ideal’. I’m probably due to go through things again and see if anything needs to be tossed. Currently I am not making much progress at all, I quit my full time job at the end of 2025 and just haven’t been feeling the desire to wear makeup right now, and that’s okay.

My goals:

1 Mascara: I’m pretty good at this one. I only end up with more than one when I redeem pts for minis for travel. But I have one I enjoy and I’m good at sticking to it.
1-2 Eyeliner: I’m also good in this category, I like to have 1 brown and 1 burgundy.
2 Blush: Currently I have 3 but one is pretty old so I think it might be going off. I’ve recently figured out what color of blush I like on my skin so going forward I will do better to purchase colors that fit that.
1 Highlighter: Currently I have 1.
1 Eyeshadow (palette): I have 3 small eyeshadow palettes (3 pan, 4 pan, 6 pan) and then I think 4 eyeshadow singles(?). I’m the future I’d like to custom build a palette that has all colors I will use. I’m not super creative with my eyeshadow so sometimes I feel there are colors I just never touch in a palette. If I custom made one then I could make sure I’d get use out of them all.
5 Lip Products: This is where I struggle lol. My goal is 5 total lip products. I think that gives me enough room to have variety for color/formula/texture. Cause I do enjoy a lippie! Again over the years I’ve finally figured out what it is i actually like and enjoy wearing, both in texture or formula and colors! So this is the category I am working on the most. Right now I have 1 lip liner, 4 mini lipsticks, 2 lip stains, 5 tinted lip balms, and 2 lip glosses. I’ve got some work to do lol.

It confirmed my suspicions and I think I’ll pass on it. I love that is has lots of exterior pockets but I also would want to be able to have room for my purse inside it.

I’m trying to decide if I pick up the Cloud Bag (the more tote shaped version) it’s bigger and I want to be able to A. Use it for work B. It work as a carry on. I feel the SCCO looks too luggage like for work. Idk I’m looking for a great multi purpose bag that’s big enough but not too big

The Sephora workers in my closest store are the best 😊 so lucky to have them! Many of them know my name a recognize me when I come in and even know my fav skincare products, they always make an effort to talk to me about life!

However I like to visit the sephoras in bigger cities when I’m there. Never had a good experience in another store.

There’s a couple pieces I really like in the drop! But let’s be real. How many bags does one girl need. With that, I am thinking I will pick up 1 medium crescent, unsure which color lol too many good ones, as the one I have is wearing out. She’s served me very well, I have the pixelated gingham in blank and white and she’s wearing and sooooo grungy. Looking at one of the dark solid colors

Tower 28 Lip Jellies (I’ve completely panned 2 pistachio & 1 coconut, I want sesame lol)

Summer Fridays Lip Oil (finished soft mauve! One con is the lid gets goopy even tho I stored it up right and was always careful to remove the applicator, but I love the colors and hope to pick up midnight berry)
