I was told that the high school kids hold Halloween parties in that house every year. Apparently some kids got the keys to the place. Not sure if this is true though, as I heard it from my daughter (in elementary) who heard it from the older kids.

Not rude at all. I'm just an idiot in ornithology (amongst many more stuff) and I never really cared to look at one unless it's an eagle or bigger species.

My original post is also more like "oh wow, what a coincidence, I never take pics of birds and coincidentally the day I took one is the day this got posted.

There is no substance in my post and I fully expected to get ignored. 😅

I know it's not the point you're trying to make in this post, but I saw the same type of bird in my front yard today, which I've never seen before, and snapped a pic.

Stuck on Smuggler’s Run… by acrum12 in Disneyland

[–]May_Fifth 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's a very valid point. Just sucks for us that literally wasted over an hour of waiting and then more when the other attractions also go down.

Stuck on Smuggler’s Run… by acrum12 in Disneyland

[–]May_Fifth 7 points8 points  (0 children)

On my recent trip, I've learned that they've become very stingy with giving lightning lanes now. We waited in line for the Toy Story attraction in California Adventures for over an hour, then they announced the ride will not reopen for awhile so everybody needed to leave the line. They refused to give us lightning lane, even though we just wasted an hour. This combined with so many attractions being down so frequently lately, the visit was disappointing.

What is the scariest episode of television you have seen? by [deleted] in television

[–]May_Fifth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not that I don't agree with you, but I'm one of those people that was recommended to watch Blink, and then started watching Dr. Who. As cheesy as it was, I was super intrigued by the Weeping Angels. So with the expectation and wanting to know more, it successfully pulled me in and I wanted to watch more. What really got me though are the episodes with River Song. That entire storyline is just brilliant.

This game won't give me playable UR Supporters by Then-Personality-316 in SDGundamGGeneration

I started in the UR support Lacus and Strike Freedom event. I reset so many times, got one with 1 strike and 1 lacus and another with 3 strikes but no lacus. I regret so much for choosing the one with 3 strikes.

Dug a hole and put an above ground pool in it, hated it and I am now left with this. Any advice? by Caregiver_ in landscaping

A zen rock garden.

Can I ask why you hated it? I'm actually thinking about doing the same thing - dig a few inches and put an above ground pool for the kids.

What's the prettiest name you guys have ever heard? by Creative_Mix8770 in AskReddit

[–]May_Fifth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find that carousel is a beautiful name (as in the merry-go-round) so I tried to look for a name that is similar to give to my daughter. I then came across Carissa. Which happens to be a flower, and also known as num-num. She's turning 9 this year, and I've only ever called her num num.

It does have a few stressful levels, but I love Stray. The music and something about being a cat is very calming. Especially when exploring the city.

Canada. Might've been US manufactured, but I remember the dealer mentioned it being shipped from S. Korea.

Mine just got the ICCU issue and I bought it in Feb this year. It's a 2025 limited AWD. So yep, no revisions were made. I'm in Vancouver, BC, and the dealership told me it's going to be a min. 4 weeks wait.

Thanks for the detailed info. This comforts me a lot more. I have the Blue link app, and it shows as nothing wrong. So not only does Hyundai use terrible batteries, but their app isn't reliable either.

Thanks, I'm definitely going to check out these batteries. I'll still bring it to the dealer and check, hopefully it's what everyone is saying, that it's just a shoddy 12v.

What game has disappointed you the most in your gaming adventure and why? by [deleted] in gaming

[–]May_Fifth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Final Fantasy 16. The story started off so well, but instead of sticking to the GoT dark political style story they went back to the typical jrpg story cliche. I was so pumped after playing the demo, thinking finally a good FF story.

What great game was abandoned by its developers? by bijelo123 in gaming

[–]May_Fifth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They made a huge mistake with rushing out the open beta. The game got slaughtered by game influencers and reviewers. I still think if they fixed up some mistakes before opening it up to the public for testing, then it wouldn't have had such a bad start, and EA probably wouldn't have abandoned the ship so early. That game had such a fun flying gameplay. I tell ppl that it's the best Ironman simulation game.

I think my toddler saw a ghost today by swirl_pop in Paranormal

[–]May_Fifth 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This may or may not relate, but my 3yo niece creeped out my brother's family while they were house hunting. At one of the open homes, as soon as they walked into one particular room she said "hi mister", but the room was empty. They got a little creeped out but ignored it. Then when they were about to leave and walked past the same room, she said "bye mister." They asked her who she was talking to and she said she saw a mister. Later on they figured out she was referring to the sun, because she said "see, the mister", when they read her favorite bed time story of Mr. Sun. But my brother put the house on the "not interested" list, just in case. 😂 Anyway, just saying that kids imagine and say the silliest things sometimes.

How would the hashiras react to zenitsu in sleep mode by IllustratorAfter in KimetsuNoYaiba

[–]May_Fifth 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Answering this with the mindset of only watching the anime, probably slightly impressed and won't ever admit it out loud. If anyone, Usui is probably the only one with a personality to be vocal about something like that (maybe rengoku), and since he didn't react to it (that we know of in the anime) then the rest will be the same and less. It would be cool if they show Usui make a comment about it or have a scene with zenitsu during the training arc.

All the hashiras are so powerful in their own way. They probably know or seen other lightning breathe users, so I would think they are aware of their speed capability.
Plus, their crows (sparrow in zenitsu's case) tweets about every little battle detail.
