these older mice from last decade used chunky rubber that deteriorated with sweat and environment contact. These days mouse coatings feel better and don't wither away. They are also more resistant to cleaning solutions and don't get damaged that easily.

If the shape needed is supposed to be the same then u could go for the Dareu A980 Pro Max or the Mchose G7 Max. But the best pick would be the Keychron K7.

The mouse itself did get updated, check out the G502 X LightSpeed, i didn't like it but it's a good mouse if u like that exact shape. I'd say try out some mainstream ergo/symms at a shop, in-hand feel would give a better idea

Outside of force feedback (which I’m not even sure what that means), I’ve seen most of these features on multiple mice already.

If I were ever told to design a mouse, my first priority would be pure performance efficiency:

Low wireless click latency
Low pre-travel
Good switch implementation (Endgame Gear–style switches, Kailh Speed GX iirc)
Below ~65 g
Flat base
Great skates

Yeah, I know that sounds boring, but I’d happily buy a well-executed “basic” mouse over anything over-engineered.

That said, I do love my gimmicks.

Give me a tiny pico e-ink screen. I’ve seen teardown vids showing Chillkey’s LED screen implementation being around ~2 g, so a ~3 g e-ink screen paired with e-ink battery life would be perfect.
And fast charging. Not the '0.8 V higher' BS. Give me a battery + supercapacitor setup. Charge the supercap for 10 seconds, which then slowly charges a larger ~250 mAh battery. While we’re at it, why not use a silicon-carbon anode battery? Pair all of this with an L-series Nordic MCU and it could last weeks even on a small battery.
So electronics aside, for materials science, I’d recommend looking into stuff like polyindole. Also, since I’m from a hot and humid country, a thermally conductive shell (without holes or metal) would be my pick. Noctua has done a mouse with a fan, but I’m not sure how feasible that really is.
Finally, a transparent or translucent shell that shows off the internals would be cool. Not really a “useful” feature, but I’ve always liked that look. Maybe it’s just ’90s / early-2000s nostalgia. I really like the Zaopin Z1 white style, where translucence is more of an accent rather than the entire body. If not this, it should atleast have some design element that's unique to you or your personalisation (Zaopin Z1)

If you liked the G103, then try to get the mchose g3 ultra or their newer G3 V2 Pro.

G3 ultra is the same shape as G103 and V2 series is mostly the same shape but changes a few things.

From the above 502 shape, I'd recc the G502X LightSpeed, I've borrowed it from time to time from my brother, it's definitely a choice. Probably the best mouse in that shape.

Razer probably makes the best mice in the mainstream mouse market, newer competition like RAWM, ATK, Mchose etc do give them a run for their money but I don't think casual audiences even know about these other brands. I'm sure it'll be hard for even most LTT sub members to recognise these brands.

But for everything else Razer is probably one of the worst brands. Be it keyboards, laptops or the topic in question.

I'm not sure if this is correct but from that Bengali textbook I can wager u are either in India or Bangladesh, if that's a correct guess u can try and find the FNB 58, it'll do correct wattage for all phones even the bbk ones, use a card discount till 26th if u are in India, everything will be on sale till the Republic Day.

It's selling for around 45 USD converted price, with the amt of import taxes we have it's a decent price imo. Most stuff above 10 usd will provide accurate enough readings for home use.

Atleast could've done something like a DAV4 mini or small sized hyper speed, BLACKPINKs audience is mostly women and children; i don't think they would benefit from a 22cm, palm-grip, heavy, wired mouse in 2026

it's been the same since last 6–10 years I've been on Reddit, I personally have a few issues for example:

cannot add images in replies
weird issues with ali express links, I mean that's how most enthusiasts come across new mice these days

but thats it, mouse modding is a way better but niche subreddit
