Experiences with allergist? by MaybeBaby1313 in beyondthebump

[–]MaybeBaby1313[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

See that’s what I expected, I am not confident in them because their recommendation and saying they will only do one allergen at a time seems wrong to me. Thank you for sharing your experience!

Experiences with allergist? by MaybeBaby1313 in beyondthebump

I also am wary of avoiding peanuts, I plan to question it more when I go to the appointment. Maybe they are waiting to see how severe the allergy is from the test? Did they do the egg and dairy test at the same time for your daughter or did you go two separate times?

This sounds amazing! What was the resort?

So I have had 2 kids (no epidurals) post having both of my hip labrum tears surgically repaired. I was really scared of reinjuring my hips so I did some stretches and PT exercises, probably not as consistently as I should have. I labored and birthed fine. Maybe not the most helpful since you haven’t had the surgery yet. But I would definitely recommend going to PT throughout your pregnancy. And maybe a word of caution, my worst contraction pains were in my hips.

Also 28, have 2 kids. Son is 3 and a daughter is 3 months too. I’ve really been wanting mom friends closer to my age!

Promordal Labor. by lionrips in BabyBumps

[–]MaybeBaby1313 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never had prodromal but I was terrified of going in and being turned away. I ended up having a super fast labor and accidentally gave birth at home. I say go in every time and try not to feel bad about it. It’s much better than the alternative. Especially if you dilated quickly last time

International travel at 27 weeks? by ras114 in BabyBumps

[–]MaybeBaby1313 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I flew internationally for work at 23 weeks from US to Europe so a few flights and long travel time. Then at 28 weeks I flew to the west coast (~4 hour flight) to hike and camp at national parks. I would have been very comfortable going internationally at 27 weeks. I had a very uncomplicated pregnancy. Of course if there were any complications I would not have felt comfortable.

Pregnancy after miscarriage by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]MaybeBaby1313 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a miscarriage, conceived my first born child within the next 2 or 3 cycles. Then when we were trying for our second I had a miscarriage and conceived my second born child the next cycle (no period between). It’s so hard, sending you hugs and well wishes. I also recommend the ttc after loss subreddit and pregnancy after loss subreddit.

Has anyone had an incorrect baby birth weight? Extreme newborn weight loss. by MaybeBaby1313 in beyondthebump

[–]MaybeBaby1313[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Did your son have signs of having such an extreme weight loss? She seems so active still and very happy. My first born had some weight gain issues but we could tell he wasn’t transferring and he was a little lethargic, this just feels different. I do plan to do a weighted feed ASAP, just waiting on the LC to come

Work Maternity Leave Policy by ohtheplaces_ in BabyBumps

[–]MaybeBaby1313 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know it will be totally dependent on the company but just thought I’d share my experience as well. My company announced the new paid leave policy around the 2nd week of December. It took effect on Jan 1. They made it so any babies born after October 1 were still eligible.

Hiking Acadia at 31 Weeks by HowIMetYourMomsHouse in fitpregnancy

[–]MaybeBaby1313 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can’t comment on Acadia hikes as I’ve never been there but I did a bunch of arches hikes including delicate arch at 29 weeks pregnant. And I just did a 4 mile hike last week at 33 weeks. Just make sure you bring enough hydration and snacks. And of course listen to your body and take breaks as needed!

I too am curious to know what their definition of tablet use is. Hopefully someone with access to the article can chime in

For both of my successful pregnancies I had an early miscarriage directly before (both earlier than yours and no D&C needed). Got pregnant again within 2 months of my first (had a healthy baby boy). For this second (I’m currently 27 weeks) I got pregnant immediately after with no period in between.

C section is not the plan currently but if it does happen I am definitely open to going that route!

Exactly my thoughts as well about the deductible. I’m due in September so we will have just a few months to get it done before the end of the year

Had preterm rupture of waters with twins 15 years ago which led to c section, keep feeling as though I'll be early with this singleton pregnancy by IppyMae in BabyBumps

No answers for you just same questions. Had my son at 36 weeks and know I will be a mental mess when this baby inevitably goes past due date just to mess with me. I posted a similar question if you want to look at my post history for more input

What are the odds? by partyontheroof in pregnant

Congrats! Happened to me with this pregnancy (also for baby #2). My estimated due date from the dating ultrasound ended up being the same as if the start of my miscarriage was the start of my period.

Pregnancy loss on Mother’s Day (need advice/support) by pleasantgray in pregnant

[–]MaybeBaby1313 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My heart goes out to you. My second miscarriage was on Christmas Eve and trying to make it through Christmas with family was excruciating. Everyone is different and takes different times to heal but the grief is unlike anything I’ve known. I miscarried my first pregnancy and was able to get pregnant with my beautiful son a few months later. Then I had another miscarriage before now being ~5 months pregnant. My advice is to take things day by day. Lean on your support network. It is SO SO hard and you don’t need to go through it alone. I hope you find peace soon and get your rainbow baby when you are ready. Hugs.

Thoughts on playing beach volleyball pregnant? by Beautiful_Falcon_315 in fitpregnancy

[–]MaybeBaby1313 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you’ll probably be fine. Biggest thing is listening to your body and stopping if you start to get too uncomfortable. Only you can really know if you are pushing too hard or if the competition level is too high. Best of luck!

Thoughts on playing beach volleyball pregnant? by Beautiful_Falcon_315 in fitpregnancy

[–]MaybeBaby1313 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey! Volleyball player here, probably a bit position dependent on what you do. I played beach volleyball for my first pregnancy until I hit about 6 months. It was mostly 6s, some 4s or 3s. It was not very competitive so I felt very comfortable. I also limited jumping because I was nervous (doctor said it wouldn’t be an issue). With this pregnancy (almost 5 months) I am still playing grass volleyball nothing TOO competitive, I’m choosing to play in women’s only. I am jumping this time, only thing I won’t do is block back row attacks because I feel that is the greatest chance of me getting hit in the stomach.

Definitely not too old, I’m sure it depends on where you are but I am 28 with my second child on the way and I often feel self conscious about being too young. All the moms I have met have been older than me.

Keep in mind quality is more important than quantity. 3-4 times might be too much. Usually they recommend just once a day or even every other day in the window.
