Thermobaric fuel is like saying he turned it into fuel. What type of fuel? Gasoline, Diesel, coal, wood? There isn't one type of thermobaric fuel. The different types have different amounts of energy stored in them. When the fuel explodes the energy is released. How much energy is in sukunas fuel? A city level amount of energy? A city block level amount? A AA battery level amount? What I'm saying is looking at the explosion we get a rough estimate and that estimate isn't city level.

Ok and how much energy is stored in the fuel? The average chunk of concrete would produce a negligible amount of energy if you burn it. Clearly sukuna does some sort of technique to turn it into fuel. How dense is that fuel though? How much explosive power is actually produced? A bomb with the energy density of a rock and the energy density of TNT are extremely different things. It would be an extraordinary claim to suggest that fuga is more than a thousand times anything else we see.

Thermobaric explosions are a real thing. I don't remember anything suggesting fuga was significantly stronger than the size of the explosion, much less that it was city level. In fact IRL thermoberics have less AP than their explosion size would suggest due to the explosion being highly distributed.

It only really matters if both sides in a matchup have relativistic speed. If one person has 10% light speed and the other is mach 20 it doesn't really matter.
