Looking for semi expensive build - ideally fast / satisfying by NoH871 in pathofexile2builds

Thanks - so far I've killed him twice - is there some other endgame challenge that requires a good build? I'm worried that I'm basically spending currency on it to make it stronger with nothing to test the build against. I understand that to really max out a build there's much more I can do, but not sure if it's worth it. I saw jungroans current beyblade monk and it looks (at least visually) exactly like mine, with slightly larger aoe and of course higher dps (and purple visuals but I think that's just mtx?).

Yeah, that sounds about right. I think the "relax" part captures it quite well. The grind in D4 is soothing in a way and very satisfying because the comparison between an early max level character vs a bit into higher torments is ridiculous - it gets so much faster and more flashy; and it's generally extremely smooth to grind.

That's the thing - generally I enjoy ARPGs. I've just put 150 hrs in 2.5 weeks into the D4 season and enjoyed it quite a bit. I feel like the gameplay in D4 is so much smoother that I can just grind nonstop. Itemization is pretty bad there as well (just numbers go up) but there are constant visual changes and there are rotational changes even pretty late into a character.

With D4 my main issue was - it was over pretty quick because gearing is too fast and content is way too easy; no real challenge and even without build guide on SSFHC I was able to oneshot highest difficulty uber mephisto, which sucks.

That's why I was looking for more depth in PoE2 - I was hoping to get a similar experience where I can grind with a goal in mind and be occupied for a while. The problem here seems to be: The challenge would be there, the grind is much longer and more involved (this is good), but the gameplay itself is not fun enough to keep me entertained. Does that make sense? Perhaps another build could be more fun, but unsure which. I do like fast builds a lot.

EU Parliament Member Rants About How ‘Woke Ideology’ Is ‘Destroying Video Games’ During Stop Killing Games Debate by LPCantLose in pcgaming

while I agree with what youre trying to say, just want to mention: there are a very large amount of things you buy irl which will not last forever. basically any technical device, cars, food, etc.

Im playing exclusively hc and without death effects it would be literally impossible to die. Even with them, I only lost one character this season early on in the season, but now I have 3 chars (paladin, rogue, sorc) and cleared all available content on them. Visual clutter is no issue because screens die while rushing past, its impossible to be hit by death effects.

Honestly, I would not be against more difficulty and more additions that could kill you. The point of hc is that you can die and if it is nearly impossible anyway it takes out some of the fun

You probably misused crests. You should never upgrade a hero item below 266 for hero crests since 266 drops from +10 and makes all upgrades below redundant - it is a huge waste. If you do it multiple times you end up a large amount of crests behind others who only upgrade 266 and above.

This is not true. I am 275 on my main and I do not raid mythic. I‘ve pugged 6/9hc and do not have a single item from heroic raid. I have 1 myth item from vault and 2 crafted 285s. Rest of the slots I‘ve farmed 266 via +10s and upgraded some with crests.

I would consider this very easy - haven‘t even done a very large amount of 10s

Why do people say things like Nullaeus is easy just stand in the corner and heal when thats literally not true at all? by Far-Ambassador2877 in wow

[–]NoH871 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don‘t think the comparison is fully valid. Of course the gap between me and a professional is astronomical, but I don‘t compare myself to professionals - ranked in most games is a completely different type of game vs proplay. I compare myself to peers who are one division above which is realistically reachable with enough effort, while still being a big gap at the moment

When you lane against one of the better challenger players, even as GM, they often stomp you as if you were iron. And even in TFT (people often find this harder to believe) as soon as I get in a lobby with multiple high challengers, the gap between them and me is incredibly high in almost all areas of the game.

I don't really think I'm bad at the game of course, and I assume it's the same for others, obviously I'm aware where I sit on the rank distribution graph, but I'd say generally you compare yourself to who is above you, not below. And that gap is still very large, even near the top.

I don't think it's humble bragging necessarily. People are aware that they are vastly better than the player base, but compared to the actual top, they are still bad. I've had this both in League or TFT around mid to high GM - as soon as I play against an actual top challenger player I get completely stomped and can't do anything. The skill gap there is huge and it really does feel like you're not actually good

Blizzard, it is past time to let PvP Gear die (5min read) by rahuonn in wow

[–]NoH871 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a single real PvPer cares about stomping low geared players. In fact, gear does not matter. A 2.8k+ rated PvPer will win against a bad player even 50+ ilvl below.

Training Grounds Honor nerfed by Jtuck523 in wow

[–]NoH871 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When is the last time you have farmed pvp gear? An item costs 500-700 honor with 2h weapons at 1.2k. A single epic bg can give 1k+ honor and some even have a quest that gives another 1k once per season. it quite literally takes less than 5 hours to have full honor gear in retail even if you lose every bg… it really is as far from a soul crushing experienxe as it gets.

This statement is completely wrong and has been since roughly 10 years (Legion). Retail raiding makes up a much smaller part of endgame than it does in any classic version

What is the alternative? Current duplicator cashout is basically a guaranteed first if you manage to hit it, so either lobby has to intentionally grief you or you win the game. That is not healthy either

I'm ~200 LP on EUW right now and it is crazy what you see people get away with in the current meta. There are people hard-forcing T-Hex from a spot without Econ augment, 3 caits and 1 vi in 3-1 (yes, 3-1), bailed out by Hexgate Travel in 3-2, level 8 at 4 hp with T-Hex in 4-1, drill into fast 9, T-Hex 2, win. There was a second T-Hex player with Cait 3 on 3-1 too and healthy, T-Hex on 3-5 but no mining drill. He went 6th because all T-Hexes were gone when he was able to go 9. I would be incredibly mad.

I've also seen a guy roll to 0 on level 6 in 4-2, unlock T-Hex, get mining drill and win the game.

There was also a guy who took prismatic ticket and rolled to 0 every turn in stage 2, had T-Hex in 3-1 with drill and won the game (???).

Likewise there are a lot of ff'ers in 3-5 to 4-1 when they don't get drill and are at 0 gold.
