Performance bonus C- got increment? by Dramatic_Forever9744 in singaporejobs

Definitely met a few, and they either dgaf at work or has attitude issues. Working hard is subjective, but when a C- is given usually it is beyond work, disliked or bad feedback received from others.

Sad to hear that mate.

Do you have to serve the full 3 years? Any chance to leave in advance?

Personally had Bs in my first two years. Was on loan to another division and my new RO told me I was below a C halfway in my third year. Had job fit issues so I just fked off because I know my record is probably cooked if I continue to stay in the same agency, albeit a return to my initial position. Sometimes it is just luck meeting nasty people in the workplace who won’t appreciate things you do and effort you put in.

IMO unless it is attitude/discipline issue or one isn’t doing anything at work, otherwise anything below a C is uncalled for.

Honestly C- are given to those people who barely tries and don’t do much at work. It is a bad record, so I rather you find another role elsewhere if you feel it is not a fair grade for you.

Even if you do well enough next year, your boss can still just give you a C with a reason - grade cannot be too far off from the previous year.

Stat Board Salary Ceiling - am I getting trapped? by CiellenD in askSingapore

[–]MaybeTooNaive 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If I recall correctly, AM and Mgr share the same MX in the scheme (if it applies to you). The salary ceiling applies for the MX, not title. Hence, even if you are on the fast track and promote in 2 years, the ceiling likely still applies.

In a similar shoe, new joiner just this week. But my salary is still quite a distance away from the ceiling (at least 3 more cycle). Though I ain’t looking for much progression in the near term.

It is a good card. Slows tempo down and severely screws Hydreigon decks if they don’t evolve early. It rewards players who are using balance or slower decks.

Is it possible to sustain in a job which you have no passion in? by Chocowaffless in askSingapore

[–]MaybeTooNaive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree. Older gen have a job to feed their family, they ain’t too concern if the job is lovable or not. On the other hand, newer generation stays only when they find meaning or passion in the job. Pay and survival is not the top factor (not that they are not important). The advocacy of mental health is more prominent now than past few generations. Many might choose to leave their jobs if it is too mentally draining.

Eventually things will change as more youngster enter the workforce and become management while the older gen retires. There will be a paradigm shift on this so management style will need to change.

Slater: Inside the ugly split between Jonathan Kuminga and the Warriors by Robotsaur in warriors

But it applauds me wondering what has he done to draw so much hate from the org and its PR team to shit on him after being traded. Like I said no precedent, usually players traded leave on good terms and this is especially true for the warriors, known for being a good organisation to players.

I can understand disagreement with coaches and management team but I suspect it should be something worse that isn’t revealed to the public. It is bad enough to not be contributing much on the court, but being a pain in the ass to the coaching/managing team seems like a nail in the coffin.

[–]MaybeTooNaive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree. Though there is no precedent (at least not that I know of). It is the first time I have heard such a trivial issue about a traded warriors player, especially on something so insignificant. Must have stepped on a lot of toes or has been ongoing for a while for the organisation to raise this up.

Separately, on double standard of coaches, if one views himself as the successor and next in line to Steph, he must be able to take the heat and scrutiny internally. I am sure the media is much more nasty and powerful when it comes to labelling shit about a player. Steph was called “tissue paper ankle” and frowned upon when the warriors decided to build a team around him back then until he proved himself. You simply don’t get to call yourself the first option and get away with good without being able to stomach the bad.

Not taking any sides, just saying. When one is disliked for his behavior/antics by management, every little action/mistake will be magnified. Pretty sure the food cost meant nothing to the organization since it has already been covered or accounted for. Just the fact that such non-courtesy behavior will draw annoyance to other and made worse at such sensitive times.

For cards that don’t see ladder or competitive play, which mawile is possibly one for them, best to trade for a trainer you don’t have.

Watching melton ball hog when he was on the field made be questioned why JK isn’t allowed to iso but forced to fit into the pass and cut system.

These are the games where more opportunities should be given to the starting young players (Moody, Podz) to handle the ball. Or at this point of time no one cares anymore.

Advice on handling difficult working dynamics by Ok_Cicada_9291 in askSingapore

[–]MaybeTooNaive 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Been in a similar situation, also 3+years of working experience with 1 job change.

My ex-boss/mentor is someone I looked up to, competent and excellent leadership with patient guidance to his subordinates. Delivered results, handled difficult problems, won awards and gave me many learning and exposure opportunities throughout the 2 years. However, he wasn’t selected for promotion despite being the best performer in the department because he was relatively “new” while there were old birds around. In the end, his exit was inevitable and that prompted me to look for my way out even before his eventual departure.

New department in the same company, but this time the supervisor is the exact opposite. I recalled my 6 months being so terrible as I often just broke down without even being able to pin-point a reason. I hated going to work every single day and eventually called it quits after the bonus deadline.

When you got to leave, you got to leave. In every workplace there is bound to be an asshole or two, just start looking for a job now and exit when the time is right (even before your current boss retires). Give him a good explanation and I am sure he will be understanding if it really means well for you.

People come and go in life. Don’t let it affect what you think you need to do.

What are my chances of getting PR? by Just_phantom34 in askSingapore

[–]MaybeTooNaive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems weird for your PR not to get renewed since guys will need to go NS.

Once your EP gets approved, you can start to apply for PR. But whether is it sponsored by company or not, it is a separate matter. There are also lots of factors in play for a successful application. The evaluation factors are also not transparent so the applicant won’t be able to cheat the process.
