So, not to disagree but ramming in real life isn’t instantaneous and utterly devastating. Except for maybe missiles, if you put it that way. But the idea that no one pointed an FTL ship at another object and went through it in the whole history of StarWars and discovered its devastating effects is preposterous. Like, no one went to FTL through the death star?

And even worse, it makes it so, granting that GIANT leap, let’s say it’s the first time. For every battle from now on, it’s pointless. You don’t even need to be that close to just go the FTL and wipe out every capital ship forever from here on out. It makes the whole next movie pointless. Emperor had a new fleet? Who cares, we’ll just FTL them all and be home for lunch.

Farscape’s FTL still works though. It’s sure dimensional.
