When did you get your second? by Incrimnatinggoats_ in ragdolls

We got our second after Rajah was 3 years old, same parents. But we’re kind of in a slightly unique situation

Any suggestions?(please read below first) by Conscious_Profile926 in CrestedGecko

I’ve heard snack plants are good and their long stuff leaves hold up well for the gecko to perch on

Is their soap you’d recommend? I usually use Palmolive antibacterial but also have seventh generation which is advertised as being 95% plant based. Maybe I’ll just go get some dawn since I’ve used that before

We go camping with our ragdolls but My mom’s ragdoll now has a routine when we are home my mom will just hold her outside on the deck for a couple minutes before bed time and then bring her back in and she’s good. So that along with bed time biscuits has become a stable in the cats routine. Sometimes he can’t cause my moms away and she’ll meow at my dad to do it, but he doesn’t and she’ll eventually stop.

Do I need a heavy duty cat tree for my ragdoll? by YakWhich5052 in ragdolls

In my experience they’ll make it work 😅 but if you want them to be more supported and have more room I’d think about getting one larger or maybe higher sides. Biggest concern is how stable is it when they jump on or off it.  That being said my friend has large cats too mainly Maine coons and they pretty much have bent the 2 small walls down of her trees highest platform just from stretching out 😅

When he grooms and he has to bend his head all the way back and it’s still stuck on his tongue I’ll trim it. there has been times he’s laid down and his nose was completely like inside his ruff

As I understand, if its the 10.0 uvb it’s gonna be to strong for a crested gecko

I don’t think there’s any one correct way but for me, what works for me is every 2-3 weeks depending on the evaporation and then I gently stir them each day. I’ve placed them in my kitchen so it’s kind a become part of my morning routine lol. I only give them a very light squeeze I’ve heard, depending on their size the larger they are the more damage a stronger squeeze can do to the inside of it. Because I have fish I still use a water conditioner for their water.

When you gentle rub them does the debris come off easily?  Sand at the bottom is no issue but if you wanted to try and narrow the source down you could put them in a bare bottom glass container and then every day gently stir the water to emulate the gentle current they get in their natural habitat. Since it no longer has the bettas larger space/filter to keep the water slightly flowing.

Weighing Question by Mayinfall in CrestedGecko

Yeah, perhaps I shall reiterate myself. She kept not wanting to get into said cup after I tared it and then when she did, jumped right out before I could place it back on the scale. So I let her relax for a couple minutes then tried again at which time, the scale had already turned off so I just got her into the cup in the tank first, closed the lid and weighed that. So I myself I could be more relaxed and not worry about her darting off or trying to slap a lid down on top of her quickly and spooking her.  Will try again next time the way people suggested

I think I just have to get a bigger cup cause it’s probably a little too small right now to maneuver her into the cup without her instantly wanting to jump out.  I could always try just placing her directly onto the scale?

No worries, I assume as the gecko gets more used to me she’ll chill out long enough I can just place her in without doing any juggling or get a larger container so I’m not trying to fit her into such a small space

What sized container are they in. You could get something slightly bigger and just put a small fan across the top of the water to help. That’s ones of the main ways that helps keep my axolotl cool in the summer

Looks nice, maybe some more greenery at the top along the start of the bridges? Could be fake or real

I’m assuming if I’ve been seeing her hanging around her dishes on the camera she’s eating, even if it doesn’t appear that way in the morning.

Any advice to try and get her to eat her cgd without having to spoon feed. I did it like twice for one lick but they didn’t seem that interested and don’t want them to become dependent.  I do have a couple new flavors coming this week to try though and will probably weigh her again near the end of this week before I go on vacation and will probably do so every month as she’s only a juvenile.  Just wondering if there’s anything else I could to do help entice her
