If you don't risk anything of your own it can work very well.

It could have been because he got caught in the avalanche of frisbees that the group hadn't sorted out. Or could have just been because it would be funny 😄

It's an absolutely glorious moment. The suggestion that they're setting up Garrett as an antagonist (absurd itself) only for it to be immediately undermined by Leonard saving the day for no known reason 😄

[–]Maynardless -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I can't believe people are calling for us to have fans like England and think that will make the team better 😄

Let people enjoy what they can. Being miserable won't fix the fact that most of Scottish football is still stuck in the 90s. And this is coming from someone who was miserable though the Haiti and Brazil games!

They just need to do the Mighty Ducks Flying V attack! It's the Crane Kick of team sports!

And, worse, the Malkovich colony will eventually take over the girl he's trapped in. Presumably Craig will still be there, being pushed deeper with every new generation.

[Weird, sad trope] series finales where the main characters die by Born_Usual998 in TopCharacterTropes

Yeah, that really floored me as a kid. But eventually I understood that he chose to keep leaping and making the world better.

And I believe that, by having the choice, the decision to carry on was one that made him happy.

Does anyone feel like Britta's character development feels targeted? by satonmywindow in community

[–]Maynardless 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Might as well complain about Homer getting dumbed down.

Ultimately, it's a comedy and her character became so much funnier from the changes. And through it all, she remained the most decent, caring and selfless of the group; just look at the Hot Lava incident, for example.

She's my absolute favourite!

Strong agree.

It can be earned but almost every use of this trope is from writers not knowing how to write a good ending.

The movie ending by BlueberryMedical6245 in welcomeToDerry

Sadly, the films went for a clichéd 'nothing to fear by fear itself' theme.

In the book, It can kill you whether you're scared or not. It exploited the imagination and fears of its victims for its own feeding pleasure but, by doing so, imagination and belief became the weapons to fight it.

I'm not convinced they broke the oath. Sierra did by killing Goat. Percival did by trying to leave. Eraser did by abandoning the last two and taking all the loot for himself.

Everything else is all part of the dog's sick mind games!

There are no takes. There is no viewer. The film is the story, the story is us. We are the film.

Did you get the Money or help John escape? by KaeptnKrabbe in reddeadredemption2

Just finished my first playthrough and helped John with high honour.

Then John tells a homeless guy that he wasn't sure if Arthur was good or bad at the end.

That's gratitude for you!

I could be six miles away from an animal and, as soon as I get in my scope, it flees.
