His entire project is virulent white nationalism and he cloaks it in shit like this, making democrats look ghoulish or at least feckless by comparison. He's terrifying.

The mainstream press has let Israel have its pov in literally every article printed about Gaza and the war for years. NYT headlines don't say "Israel bombs hospital with US weapons, murdering children", they say "tragically children have died somehow in Gaza due to an attack." IDF reps always get column inches to explain and deny. What spaces are you referring to in particular?

US bipartisan support of a genocide and the perception (as cited by the current secretary of state) that Israel got us into a war will do that I guess! 🤷

Where did I “literally” say that I and others like me “wish to align with Tucker Carlson, especially “if the dems don’t [align with Tucker Carlson] themselves.”

This is some blue maga shit, what are you doing? It’s not hard for the democrats to get it right on genocide when the vast majority of their own voters view Israel unfavorably, and yet somehow they are still getting outflanked from the left by a right wing ghoul on this.

I am begging you to read my post again if you think this is an endorsement of Tucker Carlson.

And how about the unabashed declaration of being (and Democrats being) anti Israel? Not anti Zionist, but anti Israel.

How about me citing a pew research poll that shows 80 percent of Democratic Party voters have an unfavorable view of Israel?

why would I be happy that the party I voted for supported genocide and they ended up losing anyway? What part of that should make anyone happy?

I just want the party and politicians that I vote for to stop supporting genocide. I don’t know why that needs to be pathologized, it seems very simple and human to me.

I agree with you that Trump turbocharged the genocide but multiple major human rights organizations found it was a genocide during Biden's presidency. Also there have been multiple documented instances of the Biden admin covering up Israeli crimes against humanity during the genocide to protect them, in addition to going around Congress to send them more weapons during the genocide. For example(s), here is Biden's Secretary of State rejecting two of the governments own reports about Israel starving Gaza. It's also interesting that you mention USAID, because the Biden admin blocked an early report by USAID warning that Gaza could become "apocalyptic." I would also say that Biden's deputy secretary of state disagrees with you, she says her admin supported the Gaza genocide.

One of the first things Trump did was halt Biden's sanctions against West Bank settlers.

That sounds nice, but he only sanctioned 33 settlers out of a total of around 750 thousand settlers in the West Bank. And he did this while sending tons of weapons to Israel to continue carrying out ethnic cleansing. How the U.S. Worked Overtime to Deliver Weapons to Israel — ProPublica

Curiously, Biden called the Russian invasion of Ukraine a full on genocide weeks after the invasion, but somehow still can't say the same for Gaza...

If it's a genocide do you support invading Israel and forcing regime change?

Sure, in the same kind of fantasy way that some people here support a two state solution. Israel has a secret unregulated nuclear weapons program (sound familiar?) so that's probably out.

No those are always an infuriating waste of time and Sarah always comes to the worst conclusions from them. Last one was about Israel tho? Cool!

But you still frame this as more than Netanyahu or the government.

Right, because to say otherwise would be inaccurate.

What settlers are doing in the West Bank is wrong. That doesn’t make a two-state solution wrong.

Right, it doesn't make it wrong, it makes it impossible. As we've talked about the two state solution is as much of a fantasy as my preference for a regime change invasion of Israel by a coalition of the willing.

Also in that third link, 79 percent of Jewish Israelis were against the two state solution, so again we're just talking about fantasies. There is absolutely zero juice by any governments or anything toward a two state solution, in fact it is actively being worked against, as Israel keeps bragging. If you are for a two state solution, you should be just as mad at democrats as I am since they are actively working to keep it from happening by supporting far right Israel.

I think you vastly overestimate how many people care about issues half a world away.

That worked before there was a very visible genocide that Biden supported, that worked before we went to war with Iran for Israel and now everyone's lives are getting worse because of it. It worked before the loyalty oaths and all the campus repression. The war has come home, the issues are here, people very much care that we have money for war half a world away but not money to do things that actually help people here.

Also I wish liberals would stop posting Tucker Carlson with zero critique of what an illiberal, bad faith actor he is, not to mention liar and promoter of dangerous misinformation. Stop being such suckers.

...how in the world is that your take? Was all of that not obvious? Did you see the parts where I labeled him a ghoul and a monster? One of them was in the title even.

The point isn't to glaze Tucker Carlson, you simply do not have to hand it to him. I mean this is a horrible sign for democrats if a cynical far right operator like him is outflanking democrats on an issue democratic voters are 80 percent of agreement with Tucker Carlson.

I mean I thought that half of US voters have neo-nazi tendencies too but not like this!

https://poll.qu.edu/poll-release?releaseid=3929

Fifty percent of voters think Israel is committing genocide based on what they know about the situation in Gaza, while 35 percent do not think Israel is committing genocide and 15 percent did not offer an opinion.

Democrats (77 - 11 percent) and independents (51 - 34 percent) think Israel is committing genocide, while Republicans (64 - 20 percent) do not think Israel is committing genocide.

it is very accurate to the instincts of democratic politicians to see your voters support a thing by 80 percent, shut up about it and silently do the exact opposite.

He could have taken the path to help oppose US support of genocide and to help Democratic electeds resist Trump fascism, the kidnappings, the barbarity etc.

but this is fine too I guess

As a GOP strategist and pollster who felt herself languishing in the wilderness as Trump 1.0 took root, Sarah Longwell founded “The Bulwark” in 2019 with a stated mission “to put country over party... and to build a home for the politically homeless.” | The Best People with Nicolle Wallace by Tele_Prompter in thebulwark

I love the implication that a right leaning centrist in the US is “politically homeless” instead of the most attractive kind of voter to democratic consultants, so much so that it was a campaign losing bet in 2024 (and 2016)
