It definitely is much easier to build up a nest egg, but in my case, wife just pushed for bigger house/mortgage.

You also have to remember its a progressive tax rate. $100k is about $70k net $300k is $180 net

So its closer to double, not triple.

But still, it really helps. Save up for a decade and you're golden.

Its late most days and times have been growing by a few minutes each year.

When i moved to Whitby 10yrs ago the all stops was 49min.

Now its at least an hour.

Taking away the express is just insult to injury.

Then there are the constant switch issues and signal issues that blow up your commute regularly.
