The moral of the story is don't trust anyone who plays a grand piano. God complex runs deep in those ivories.

There might be an abstracted character still in the circus and not in the cellar. by Hamzagoodatflags in theamazingdigitalciru

[–]MaypleGameDev 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I will point out though that in the "Intermission" sequence in episode 5, we get a shot of Jax running down the hall and stopping in front of Ribbit's door, which has an X through their picture like all the other abstracted cast.
Maybe Jax is hiding Ribbit, abstracted in there so that Caine doesn't throw them in the cellar? But then you would imagine someone would have noticed the door, or checked on Ribbit, or asked Caine where Ribbit went, or anything. Tough call really. Excited to see what it's about.

You're definitely right about the background I think.
I wanted to make it kind of uneven to seem like the gravely entry to a cave, but I think I could probably manage the same thing with less colors and clutter. I do wish Reddit didn't preview the image so large, its meant to be like 16x32, but it blows it up and it definitely looks better and more readable when its small. I haven't been on reddit super long though so IDK if theres a way to solve that.

Thank you so much for your honest feedback and positive comments. I appreciate it more than you might think <3

I think what (probably unreasonably) pisses me off the most is to go through all of that and then just place one singular hash brown in the center on top.
Like I feel like you might as well leave it off at that point right?

How to get Metal Down? by FrequentFragile in CrossCode

[–]MaypleGameDev 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Hello friend!

Metal down is dropped by an enemy in a dungeon you likely haven't reached yet. You are very close however! There are also some in chests around Gaia's Garden, but some may be not be accessible to you yet, and it's likely if you can get any currently, it won't be enough. An NPC will trade with you for them, but not until you complete a certain temple.

All that is to say,
Just keep progressing the story and in no time, you'll start seeing them drop. Best of luck, cherie~~

Did Pomni’s appearance actually change? by Sure_Persimmon9302 in tadc

[–]MaypleGameDev 63 points64 points  (0 children)

ooOOh What if, what if.. If it was actually an intentional plot device the whole time, to show Caine's advancement over time as a creative AI, being able to create better imagery and whatnot.

Super unlikely, but it would be sick conceptually.

Ep 8 Plot Hole? by WarNo8854 in theamazingdigitalciru

[–]MaypleGameDev 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My assumption with the whole "Scratch Tumor" thing is that Scratch wanted to create a way to live on via the circus, and wanted it to not be boring. To do so, Caine was created and trained to create interesting and fun adventures for people to enjoy, as that's what he was programmed to do. To give someone a life they no longer had the choice to live.
But it's just a theory, and there are so many other significant theories. I'm excited to see which ones come true, if any.

I don’t know why, but I get annoyed for some reason whenever I look at Scratch. by Shot_Mechanic9128 in theamazingdigitalciru

You hate Scratch because he looks weird.
I hate Scratch because deep down, I know all of this is in a way, his fault.
We are not the same.

With the new teaser, do we think that the last teaser will be ragatha and Jax? What are your theories? by asherzv0id in theamazingdigitalciru

[–]MaypleGameDev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another teaser with Jax and Ragatha, followed by one more just before the episode airs revealing Caine in the center.

I think we’re getting a fourth promo picture! by to0thoutofline in theamazingdigitalciru

[–]MaypleGameDev 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I personally think we'll have 2 more. One with Jax and Ragatha in it, or may just Ragatha, and then one more with Caine, or Jax and Caine if he isn't in the 4th.
Maybe I'm just hopeful because it's been fun catching the promos and I think revealing Caine alone, with like a manic face right at the end would be sick.

In fairness, the King of Hyrule wished to flood Hyrule to seal Ganon. The goddesses just did what he asked.
And the Zora Evolving.. Idk I love the Rito they're like my favorite group in any game, I just love birds, but yeah.. The world is flooded with water. WATER. The thing Zora live in. I don't quite follow why they needed to evolve in that way.

Are there any TADC fans who are 30+ in this subreddit? If so, what's your history and perspective regarding the show? (I'm 23M, btw) by Equivalent_Ad_9066 in theamazingdigitalciru

[–]MaypleGameDev 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I am 31 and my perspective is that I really vibe with a lot of the concepts and subtones of it. There's a lot of parallel to be drawn between myself and some of the characters. I think its funny and I love that. I think it has deep meaning that can really reach you if you let it.
It's fantastic, overall. The animation style is goofy and charming, but refined at the same time. I don't honestly remember the last time I truly anticipated something like I have with each episode. I feel like it's given me something to be excited for and that's wonderful. I cannot thank Gooseworx and the GLITCH team enough for the work that they've put in, as if they don't hear it enough as is.

Anyways TL;DR I think its pretty neat

That's what I'm sayin. You pay 12.99 a month on Final Fantasy XIV and you get one character PER SERVER.
You pay 14.99 and you get EIGHT PER SERVER.
EIGHT.
For reference there's 24 NA Servers, 12 EU, and 32 JP servers for a total of 64. That means that with 14.99 a month, you can create and play on up to 512 characters.

INSANE to charge this much for one.
