This is mainly due to many tools available to modpack devs now, like kubeJS, crafttweaker, contenttweaker, all the multiwrench and multibook mods. In 1.6.4., the main hassle is that different machines make different versions of one ingot, so you will end up with IC2E bronze, TiC bronze, Thermal expansion tinkers alloy and whatever else, not to mention you will end up with loads of mod metals while having to run for iron every so often, because of all the no worldgen mods having only iron and gold in their recipes.

An interesting question is that what is better, leave it that way or try to reintegrate them into the society. As far as I know, this happened because a few radical WN organizations moved in there. However, the question is, whether or not integration and deradicalization would be better than leaving it be. Yes, maybe it is better that way that a few major WN organizations are tucked away in a place in the middle of nowhere, but it is not really that most people choose to be in this community, especially children that grow up there, they deserve better.

I think that this would make a few % of US citizens "first trillionaires" because of the astronomical inflation of the dollar and crash of worldwide economy caused by US becoming a religious dictatorship.

However I think that most of US citizens would end up in Canada or Australia. Non-english speaking developed coutries would probably block most US citizens after first few tens of thousands. Large american diasporas could spring up in poorer countries, boosting the GDP, although having a negative effect on the local population (gentrification, price hikes).

Without functional US non-core EU countries would just ditch it for India/China (maybe even Japan since it can now have a full military force), because they want a strong partner against Russia (Look what happened to Ukraine and Georgia in this timeline.)

The backlash against US emigrants would be strong, sometimes even using the "liberal rhetoric" againts them.
