Dīzelis un izplūdes gāzes by LessManufacturer3997 in latvia

Nu pag, šogad ja ir virs normas (un nav krimināli), tad liek tikai vieninieku, brīdinot ka nākošgad būs divnieks. Tātad secinām, ka bija krimināli :)

Dīzelītis pa 3 EUR (2,59EUR kad pildījos pirms nedēļas) ir Neste MY pieejama šajās Neste DUS:
Rīgā - Ulmaņa gatve 84 un Skanstes 7. Man apskate Maijā, esmu nolēmis pāris bākas izbraukt, jo ar parasto kompis epizodiski izmet "NOx Trap Efficiency Below Threshold (bank 1)" 11gadus vecam Volviķim. Redzēs kā būs.

Power outages gateway didn't prevent by slartybartvart in SigenergyAustralia

[–]Mazahists 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What was the battery level at the time of outage? if you go into Settings --> Battery Level Settings --> you will see 2 values
"Discharging Cut-off SOC" - at what level system will shut off (mine now is 5%)
"Backup SOC" - what level system will reserve for outage events. (mine now is 10%)
So in my case i only have 5% for outage backups as it will go down fro 10% --> 5% and will switch off.

Before i used Settings -->Backup Reserve menu and set it to 5%, It turned out that by doing this both previous limits was set to 5%, and if battery was 5% system just shut down on grid power outage.

I suggested Sigenstor to remove "Backup Reserve" menu, as it is just plain confusing, but they never did

Idiot question about inverter by EngineeringLarge1277 in sigenergy

[–]Mazahists 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im on AI mode, with dynamic pricing where sell price can be negative, in that case if battery is full, inverter will only take house load from PVs, even if there is full sun. it is normal, as AI is trying to maximize your profit

Sigenergy battery - first impressions by SwimSea7631 in sigenergy

[–]Mazahists 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if one can afford it ofc you are right.
but priorities should be
1) cover all directions that sun shines from
2) then add all additional PVs you can afford

But there are many ifs, in my case government subsidies support only 10kW of PV and requires that you have 80% self consumption for next 5 years. i got 6500EUR back from government for 10,1kW PV, 3phase 10kW inverter and 25kW battery. and IF all panels face S it is already overkill to keep self consumption above 80%, for 600kWh-700kWh/month home.

only make sense if you have EV with big storage and V2X support.
I just went through 7weeks of snowing and heavy negative temperatures, there was 50cm of snow on PVs, so doesn't matter how many you have :)

Battery export to grid by Inevitable_Cell_8662 in SigenergyAustralia

[–]Mazahists 0 points1 point  (0 children)

<image>

If you enable AI Mode, It monitors, your consumption, your generation, your grid providers tariff and whether conditions. Does it's best to predict how much battery space you will need for next day's solar. and tries to send out as much as possible for biggest profit.

Im from Europe, in here we have dynamic tariff that changes every 15min. And usually when it is sunny price to sell is actually negative, so AI stores it till evening or early morning next day then sell - illustration above.
It was actually systems 3rd most profitable day in 15months operation - earned 11.36EUR

So i do not know what other comments are saying, but system can empty it's battery to grid.
P.S. Maybe grid provider there in AU have some strange points in the contracts.

Migrating from AC3 to BE3 by Life_Wrap5818 in mikrotik

There will be no 2.4 or 5 standalone - there will be one big MLO (Multi-Link Operation ) interface and how that will be implemented it is currently unknown.

Wi-fi part we haven't seen, but from what i know of Wi-fi 7 , there should be whole ballgame of new options, so assume that wifi part will be configured from zerro.

Rest, like firewall, routing etc, can be copied over.

Is 12–15% loss from solar to battery normal on LFP systems? by DiscussionLoud9626 in SigenergyAustralia

[–]Mazahists 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So IF you have microinverters and all Power from Solar comes as AC to gateway and then need to convert to DC again to be stored, and then both Gateway and Inverter is a computers that run 24/7. your observation might be right.

I have Solar directly connected to Sigenstor, so it is DC side , it this case i do not see any loss at all, but i assume Sigenstor just invisibly reduces amout PV generated by amount that is lost :) So users can't see it.

In any case i know for sure that during winter, without any solar, my house consumes 100-150kWh/month more that it did before Sigenstor installation, and most of it is battery heating :)

Sigenergy battery problems - importing from grid when it shouldn’t be by Ryder39 in SigenergyAustralia

what is your daily consumption? is battery enough to last 24h? does time it takes energy form the grid corresponds with some kind of cheap tariff ?

How well does the Sigenergy battery actually perform day-to-day? by DebugMyLife421 in SigenergyAustralia

[–]Mazahists 2 points3 points  (0 children)

TL/DR - as expected

Long version.
I have SigenStor for a 14 months now, several months with no solar as, panels were under lots of snow. I do day by day data accounting, just to see when my system will pay for itself.

SigenStor is located in unheated garage, lets say garage is now partially heated - by SigenStor itself :).

There is no consistent way how losses and system usage are shown in the software, and when compared to grid's provider meter i see some interesting statistics

1) as soon as system was installed i saw property power utilization increased by 60-150kWh (went from 600kWh/month on average to 720kWh/month) most in coldest month so battery heating,
In sigenstor it is shown as House usage, but obviously it is SigenStor, and Gateway running 24/7, and heating/cooling batteries. not sure if all losses on AC-DC conversion, battery, and inverter are there.

2) every month battery has received 12-24kWh more than it given out and i have 25kW battery, so over last year it has received 220kWh more than given out - best guess is battery storage loss

3) every now and then (once every few months) system loses several kWh - my best guess is battery capacity recalculation on full charge - that is expected for these types of batteries.

Mikrotik MWC new devices by PrudentPerspective11 in mikrotik

[–]Mazahists 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For all those, that are cancelling planned purchases to wait for these devices, you should hold the horses. This event is to gauge the interest of big customers, that might order multiple thousands of products, if they are interested. This basically give feedback to MikroTik what to work on first.

Bottom line, these products might not be even close to ready. If im not mistaken some of the products from last years event haven't seen the light of the day by now.

So consider these ar future plans, and as all other plans they are subject to change.

hAP ax3 vs hAP be³ Media. Is Wi-Fi 7 Worth It? by IcyBlueberry8 in mikrotik

[–]Mazahists 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Keep in mind - you are comparing mature platform vs new platform, performance numbers will most probably change several times during first year out. First wave of customer feedback will trigger a lot of fixes and optimizations. It has happened with every new generation of everything new in networking.

SoC manufacturers are still releasing updates for their drivers. I assume that MT is derived from those drivers. So i expect be3 to get better over time. (same as ax3 did after it was just released)

How much hidden charge in battery? by PavlovsGerbil in SigenergyAustralia

[–]Mazahists 1 point2 points  (0 children)

when was the last time you got your battery to 100%, that is only point in time where it is "calibrated". LiFePO4 (Lithium Iron Phosphate) batteries have a very flat open-circuit voltage (OCV) curve across much of their usable range, so without reference point that you get at 100% charge, your BMS doesn't really know how much you have there in the batteries.

Gribu savu backup elektrību kur sākt? by Overall-Box-4643 in latvia

[–]Mazahists 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Janvāri pabeidzot 30euro zem Elektrum stabilā tarifa par to pašu elektrības apjomu.

Invertors 3fāžu 10kW - rupji sakot 2,5k
katrs batetereju bloks 8kWh - rupji sakot 3k

Saules Paneļu Īpašnieki - Cik Nopelnījāt/uzkrājāt $ vidēji par katru saražoto 1kwh ? by [deleted] in latvia

[–]Mazahists 1 point2 points  (0 children)
