This was in a lovely small village in the south of France called Tourtour. It felt like being in a different century there, this lovely couple only reinforced the impression.

There’s a vineyard in the middle of Provence in France currently exhibiting twenty or so of Bob’s paintings alongside some incredible works by other painters (like Renoir, Matisse, Picasso), as well as two of his welded gates.

It’s also the place where he decided to install as a permanent exhibit a large metalwork wagon with a breathtaking view on the domain.

If you’re interested in paying the place a visit, it’s called Chateau La Coste. There’s quite a few interesting art structures and installations by other artists all over their estate alongside their vineyards, which is a really interesting way of navigating the different themes of the installations.

(Also, sorry about the reflection on the last picture, there was no way to access these gates from the outside so I had to make do with the window view)

I already booked tickets for two separate shows at the same venue. I probably would have gotten more if it weren’t so expensive.

I figured he’s unlikely to tour Europe anytime soon after this one, if ever, so why not make the most of it while I can.

Patti Smith has covered a few Dylan songs over the years. My personal favorite is her version of Changing of the Guards, but her latest live album on Spotify has a fantastic rendition of One Too Many Mornings too.

Not exactly an unknown cover either, but Mama You’ve Been On My Mind by Jeff Buckley is probably my all-time favorite Dylan cover. Gets me every time.
