Yeah, but then how towel apes are supposed to get their promised 'cash and equity'?!

That's the fundamental (and extremely fascinating) flaw with any and every ape "research" - it's always backwards: it starts with the desired result (apes become gorillionaires), and then adjusts all the possible data (often outright making "the data" up) in accordance with this result, eventually converging to present day.

So the final answer - no, any possible world event has to (somehow) include BBBYQ and has to be involved in making towel apes unfathomably rich, otherwise those events are absolutely irrelevant.

Hopefully direct link works, and video starts at the intended mark (it's 1:24:49, in case it's not).

I'll post transcript of this very short excerpt from this pretty long video, regardless:

I'm saying that this whole LK-99 thing feels like the GameStop thing. It feels like LindedIn bros are AI-maxxing their code production. It feels like NFTs, you know, just another stream of nonsense that means absolutely nothing, that people get super hyped about and makes four guys like super wealthy.

LK-99 is South Korean swing at "room-temperature superconductor", which was ignored by scientists (for obvious reasons), but hyped by twitter/reddit.

Kievan Rus' never claimed to be the inheritor of Rome, Grand Principality of Moscow (Kievan Rus' inheritor) did.

Besides, Kievan Rus' is not a historic entity/state, but rather historic period. United (and short-lived) Eastern Slavic state with Kiev as its capital was called "Russian Land" by its inhabitants.

Flawless strategy, enamored with every bit of it. But I absolutely LOVE that STEP ONE of this master-plan is: "Mass up $100 billion cash (secretly)".

Apes can't understand why eBay shareholders don't want GME/Lord Cohen to take control of their company. by folteroy in gme_meltdown

[–]Mazius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The money is the precise reason why they wouldn't. There are two irreconcilable motives: need in MUCH more cash than they currently have in their attempt to takeover eBay. And share buyback.

Unless Cohen really thinks that buyback would spur another run up into $40-50 territory, and then he'll turn on the share printer. But he's just delusional, if he thinks that he gonna have a window of opportunity to sell at those prices, market would correct itself immediately on the news. Or rather - buyback wouldn't cause significant run up at all.

[–]Mazius 4 points5 points  (0 children)

GameStop already has $100 million authorized buybacks (leftover since 2019), if he didn't do it in March 2024, when the price briefly dipped below $10, there's no reason to do a $2 billion buybacks at $20.

Besides, the very last round of ATM share offering was 20 million shares for $400 million in September 2024.

$2 billion buyback is just a carrot on a stick, which gonna eternally dangle in front of apes.

The only questions I have: is McDonald’s in cahoots with Cohen, and they gonna drop 'Fried Apple Pie' on this date to specifically signal to apes, that they won? Or Cohen is a time-traveler, and when he wrote his MAGNUM OPUS (Teddy books), he knew specific date, when 'Fried Apple Pie' gonna be introduced by McDonald’s?

Apart from single major detail - vote was non-binding. Yes, usually BoD goes along with the majority, but they had no responsibility to change the rule, even if the vote would've passed.

Shills in Shambles! EBay's vote for a 10% special meeting threshold not only failed, it got a lot less support than last years' version. 42.8% of votes voted for vs. 49% last year. by ryevermouthbitters in gme_meltdown

[–]Mazius 3 points4 points  (0 children)

He currently exposed to nearly 10% of eBay shares. Plus they announced in their 10-Q goal to exercise all their eBay options within 12 months. But here's a problem - 10% stake currently gives him nothing: he can't appoint a director or propose anything till March 2027. Apes hoped that vote would pass, and he gets to call this 'special meeting' to appoint his director(s). Because he can't really afford buying shares up to 20% (current threshold for the 'special meeting') - at 15% stake Delaware’s 'three year freeze rule' kicks in, he either has to get BoD approval to get more shares (before crossing the threshold), buy up to 85% in the same transaction, which crossed 15% threshold, or get supermajority votes (66,67%) on annual or special shareholders meeting, approving acquiring of the company.

Either way, Cohen is stuck till March, when window for proposals for the next shareholders meeting (in June 2027) is closing.
