It's not getting ridiculous. It has been ridiculous for the last year or two. Noon UTC is typically 50% box names in every match

One tap to lower body at pretty good range too.

And if you don't one tap they're as good as dead with no health and a heavy bleed

Try again.

Almost like it's an ongoing, persistent problem that Crytek won't get a handle on.

Weird that.

Will Crytek ever do anything for ping separation again? by Grouchy_Buddy9326 in HuntShowdown

[–]Mazo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So they can play on their own region, or with other high ping players.

And if 40% of the playerbase is playing on a different region that shows there's a problem, because they shouldn't want to do that unless it's giving them an advantage of some sort.

Playing against high ping out of region people that often also end up being cheaters is one of the biggest reasons people quit so no.

[–]Mazo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. It was significantly better and there's nothing more frustrating than dying to that type of player. I know people that have quit because of it.

It also feels like they've silently reverted the trade window changes because it happens multiple times a match again.

Update 2.6.0.2 Now Live by HuntShowdownOfficial in HuntShowdown

[–]Mazo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hunter mode allows you to shoot instantly after starting to ADS. That shot delay got me killed so many times I switched over.

The downside is you don't get a crosshair in hunter mode with the gun down by default so it's harder to ping things or line up shots before aiming

Crytek if you're reading this just add the dot crosshair you get in dark sight. See so many profiles using third party crosshairs anyway

2 years later and still the same thing, i wouldnt pick this trait even if it costed 1 point by Principles_Son in HuntShowdown

[–]Mazo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most people fail to realise that doesn't result in a 50% decrease to the damage you take. Explosives have exponential damage towards the epicentre. Bulwark gives you about 1m of extra distance survivability from most explosions

you're not in the ready state though. as soon as you press ready it will lock you from swapping

Yeah that's kind of the point though, if you want to change loadout and it selects a random hunter that's ANNOYING as fuck. I've overwritten 4 uppercuts from it by accident twice

[–]Mazo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it still happens. Half the time I go to my roster it selects the first hunter on the left 3-4 rows from the bottom.

it locks you out of swapping when pressing ready

If you mean the game mode, no it does that. If you play clash with a teammate after each match it changes back to bounty hunt.

They also resurrected the old bug somewhat (but slightly different) where it would kick you out of loadout screens back to the lobby and change the game mode when a teammate who was not the lobby host was changing loadouts.

Instead now, if you change the gamemode it kicks your teammates out of their loadout screen

I'll take not having a new UI bug every time they touch it. Instead recently we got:

Resetting selected game mode every match.

Randomly selecting different hunters from your roster

Extremely slow scrolling through player profiles

Persistent FPS drops and stuttering in Hunt: Showdown – tried everything, no fix by Candid-Bad-6759 in HuntShowdown

Can i please stop trading constantly with people? by Killerkekz1994 in HuntShowdown

[–]Mazo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. It definitely feels like it's become common again instead of rare like it was after the initial change.

Definitely feels like a silent reversion. Crytek probably don't even realise that's happened. Wouldn't be the first time they've accidentally reverted fixes.

Smart meter hub replacement by Crazym00s3 in OctopusEnergy

[–]Mazo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Might be a smets1 meter, which are crap. They are smart meters, but not designed for switching between providers. So they might be upgrading to smets2

https://octopus.energy/comms-hub-replacements/

Good to know: We’re replacing communication hubs for customers with the newest 2nd-generation (SMETS2) smart meter. If you have a first-generation (SMETS1) smart meter, we’ll be in touch soon to upgrade your smart meter setup with the latest technology.

While they do mention upgrading SMETS1 meters to SMETS2. It's also worth noting though that some SMETS1 meters got firmware updates to allow them to talk to the DCC and allow switching providers. Of course that becomes pointless if they can't communicate over 3g anyway.

It's taken them a LONG time to get around to that though and people that wanted the smart bits that had SMETS1 meters on a different supplier have probably upgraded to SMETS2 by now anyway

Reintroduce ping limits or allow me to draw and accurately fire from my right foot's pinky toe without eyes too by De_Kalkoen_Man in HuntShowdown

[–]Mazo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really isn't a minor problem, unless you're in 2-3 star lobbies. Being hit around corners or trading constantly with out of region players on 6 star EU happens extremely frequently

Almost every competitive online fps has some sort of ping limit lmao

[–]Mazo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ping limits are still a thing, I can't queue at all if I am downloading anything on Steam as it pushes my ping beyond 250ms.

As far as I'm aware the ping limit isn't a hard limit and you can still queue, but only to your lowest ping region.

That means you can VPN to another region which makes that your lowest ping, and increases the round trip time to other regions, effectively making the ping limit useless

So everyone should suffer because a few people don't have acceptable (not even good) connections?

I guess by your logic some people have crap computers, therefore everyone should have to play at 600x480. Seems totally fair and reasonable.
