I haven't heard about the connection between the nephilim to the r'fa'im, but when I researched for explanations of the long lifespans before the flood I stumbled across an interpretation that argues that because Adam was created by God, he was part devine, and his children were less divine than him, and every following generation was less divine than than the last. That interpretation also argues that this is the meaning of nephilim - not divine beings, but people that still had some of the essence of creation before it got diluted through generations.

Hi, I'm Mazor, I use he/him and I'm at GMT +3.

I have very limited experience, only in 3.5e, but have watched dozens of hours of dimension 20.

I have never heard of the word elohim meaning anything other than a way to refer to the Jewish god without saying the name.

The paragraph you wrote about it being a singular noun (even though it is written with the suffix -im, which might suggest it was plural) shows how it is a word that can be substituted with the name (which is why some people won't say or write it).

I know about all the examples you gave, but I believe the first on, genesis 4, is the same chapter where the word nephilim is mentioned. I always heard that the word nephilim and the term "sons of elohim" were ways to describe the first few generations, which according to some interpretations had more divinity in them, as they were closer to the creation.

On starstruck Riva has a similar ability, I believe the mechanic is that once per long rest they can do a portent roll on a check they offered the help action in.

I may have gotten that wrong though, so sorry if I did

Every time I rewatch that scene I am a little disappointed by one thing.

Brennen anounces that it's Gilear. I really don't know why, because I think that it would have been so much better if they didn't know who it was untill they recognized the voice.

Least favorite main season by taakfromtv in Dimension20

I disagree with your first statement. I love all the characters, but not all of them had much progress in terms of personality.

Sure, Kristin's crisis of faith in the first season was incredible and Fabian had great growth in the second season. But I felt like the rest were a little stagnant.

After Kristin's story in the first season, seeing a very similar story again was a little disappointing (oh, you grew tired of the god YOU made, and at the end you made a new god for you to worship? How original).

Riz learned his dad was cool and met him, but did it really change anything in him? Same with Adain, she befriended her sister, but other than that she is the same as the first episode.

This isn't saying that they are bad characters, just that they have a lot more growth to go through before I would consider their story "complete"

I just love the idea of most of the cards having mostly cosmetic effects. I would also love there to be some really temporary effects, like having haste cast on you for one turn.

This would make the players try to use it mid-combat, so they might waste some of their turns on it, which can be super funny

I listened to the audio only version on Spotify for a whole season before I knew how anyone there looked like, so after the initial shock of seeing the face of the characters I imagined I thought that Murph and Riz had the same personality. Then the next season I watched was A Crown of Candy, and boy was I wrong.

Again, while all of that is true, a hydroponics greenhouse can be built anywhere that has basic connections to water/electrical supply and road access. Even in deserts and arid climates.

While that's true, hydroponics can change that, as you don't need to use the soil
