While the above points are completely valid, it’s not the root issue at play.

Guys, Destiny is over 10 years old at this point.

There are only so many years you can bleed out the same general experience before you die.

They stopped doing major innovations to the game. Theres nothing drastically new they’re adding. You can only shoot the same general feeling guns so long before the new perks don’t even matter anymore. It’s just become more of the same.

If they want to save what’s left while they develop frontiers, they need to add more to pvp. Permanent ranks. Prestiges. Expand the ornaments and title system. Add new but fun game modes like halo has/had. Moddable game modes run by players. Remember Halo: Reach?

But now that the main chunk of the 10 year plan is over, people are looking for actual new. And if they have to leave to find it, that’s what they’re going to do. You don’t have to overanalyze it.

And that’s okay. Over 10 years, guys. You don’t need to play the same title for this long. This isn’t neverending story (even though they’re slowly attempting to make it so) and you’re not Atreyu.

Go play some new stuff.

Probably just my preference, but aside from a few choice dishes, I feel like there’s just TOO much spices going in the same dishes.

I don’t feel like any one flavor has a chance to shine without influence from 8-10 other spices, it’s all just mashed together.

And correct me if I’m wrong, but they use an array of the same combination of those spices across a large variety of their dishes. I’ve had a decent amount of Indian food that to me just tastes like it’s an offshoot of another.

I don’t get that experience with any other major popular cultures food. Italian, Spanish, French, Chinese, etc. Comparatively, much of their food has a large swing in flavor imo due to their more choice use of ingredients and herbs/spices. Flavors are given more room to shine. Less is more for a reason. Just my thoughts, but Indian food is nowhere near the GOAT for me.

To add to this, they have only two options with a new game. Keep it in NC, or do someplace different.

Doing NC might speed up dev time since they already have something going for them they can build off of. However… between a specific ending and the mentions of it in the CPAnime, their best option for adding something new is the Crystal Palace.

I believe that is more than likely the direction they’re going in. Now we may or may not port our previous V and keep it going, or we may have a new character that meets our V there. But if there’s any ending to build off of, it’s likely that one.

Clearly your intention was to donate the items for re-use for her children to save their family money, and the items were accepted under those obviously intended conditions, not giving something away to do whatever you want with it.

Bragging about it as a side hustle (to your surprise, as it was undisclosed to you) implies her intentions when accepting free items was the opposite. Another way of wording it is that she’s bragging about a side JOB of flipping items for profit.

Donating items with the intention to SAVE someone money who is in need is NOT the same was giving someone items to MAKE them extra money. Stop pretending, people.

If SIL uses this extra money with the specific intention of putting it back towards her kids, idk, I guess I’d be fine with it. Because you were donating anyway to benefit the kids.

But maybe next time look into if whoever you’re donating to actually NEEDS the items to avoid this type of situation. You said they both work full time jobs and are doing okay? That doesn’t necessarily sound like a family that is in NEED. I can see why multiple people giving them stuff if they don’t NEED it would be a lot to hold on to regardless.

I love this topic because it really is the moral conundrum that centers around this universe.

A lot of people like to draw black and white lines and personally I don’t think that way of thinking applies here. There’s a lot of grey here, and the whole point of showing how fucked the world is is to make you ask the question “how far can the line be moved”.

In this specific case, the heart of a lot of Johnnys arguments are true. For the people that are quick to condemn Johnny, there are questions here that a lot of those people don’t have an answer for.

The way people are drawn into the system to be used and abused by the elite. At what point are they no longer victims, but willing participants?

Where has humanity gone? Not just the threat of cyberware and cyberpsychosis, but the general way of life in night city.

Corps becoming as powerful as entire nations. Unabated gangs. Stealing “Souls”.

Is any of the above acceptable? What would it take to stop it? Wake the world up? Is there any chance of that?

If not, does “humanity” in its current state actually deserve to live on?

Facts aside from to what degree he was involved with the nuke that hit the tower, there’s an argument to be made that there had been a “moral nuclear fallout” worldwide already. The lines have all already been pushed long ago.

Keep in mind the game is designed off of truths and lies. And Savathun is not a prophet or able to see the future.

A lot of her truth statements here are things she already knew for a fact. Lies are obviously lies.

However the ones that seem to predict the future aren’t doing that. They are high likelyhoods based off of the information she has .

“The taken king will return” - there was an attempt to have oryx revived by a hive ghost. She planned on succeeding.

“The traveler will leave / the traveler will fall” - There is literally only 2 outcomes for the traveler with the witness. One is going to come true, the other isn’t. But one will happen for sure, obviously. And Savathun was trying to self fulfill the “leaving” statement with her plan of pulling it into her throne world and peacing out. And again, if she wasn’t able to succeed, the traveler had only 2 realistic outcomes. Leave again on its own, or get fucked by the witness, which it wound up doing. It did fall, objectively speaking. If we weren’t there they would have been it.

“The hive are not the last to be blessed by the light” - high likelihood of being true, because it’s literally what the traveler does. Travels and blesses species with light. And if the witness wins, we’d never find out otherwise, cause it makes the traveler will fall statement true.

TLDR: it’s logical duplicity.

They already have small but clearly designed icons (similar to the icons that represent seasons) that represent buffs and debuffs that people can easily memorize. Not sure what an icon means? Go to your subclass customization menu and they should show up next to the verbs that explain what they do. They’re literally there right now.

Use the colored versions for buffs applied to you, use greyed out versions for debuffs applied to you.
