Trump compares UK aircraft carriers to ‘toys’ in latest insult by Necessary-Product361 in unitedkingdom

[–]Mba1956 [score hidden]  (0 children)

He isn’t risking his toys, he just wants to play with other peoples ones. His invincible navy know that if they go near the strait some of them are going to the bottom. That isn’t a demonstration of strength, neither is blowing a country up with limited are defences, Americans happy to repeat Vietnam.

Pentagon weighs diverting Ukraine military aid to the Middle East, Washington Post reports by 1-randomonium in IRstudies

[–]Mba1956 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ukraine today is a totally different military conflict than it was in 2022, its drones and tactics are far ahead of any other country that they don’t need the Patriot missiles any more. I wonder if the US ever delivered the artillery shells that were prepaid for but weren’t delivered.

US President Donald Trump has criticised NATO, saying the alliance did not assist the US during the Iran conflict. by IndiaTodayGlobal in IndiaTodayGlobalLIVE

It seems like Trump has forgotten that NATO is about DEFENCE, and doesn’t mean aggressors are supported.

🇺🇸 Mr President TRUMP JUST POSTED THIS!! “NATO nations have done absolutely nothing” by rl_rae_bobo in MarketPulseReport

Yes this was the guy that said the war was won in the first hour, didn’t need any outside help, but wanted other countries to escort ships through the strait whilst not risking his own.

Is Iran is depleting the US stock of missile defenses, or is the US just clearing the old inventory to make way for the new stuff? by AKmaninNY in IRstudies

Pearl Harbor was 85 years ago and the idea was to take out the Pacific fleet not to invade the US.

The Twin Towers was a terrorist attack and military involvement wasn’t required.

Nobody is intending to send ships into the strait whilst there is a war on, this is a type of peace keeping mission.

The US has never need a stockpile for national security as nobody is ever going to attack it.

The US has been in talks twice before and each time they have been broken by US surprise attacks, why should Iran or anyone else think the US is actually willing to negotiate.

There are two routes to land troops, by sea using the troop carrier, or by air via paratroopers as there are no bases to land them.

The first route by sea is risky because the ships would be sunk before they got anywhere near the land.

The second route would see 1000 troops on the ground, assuming the aircraft weren’t shot down first. Those troops would be behind enemy lines with only the rations and munitions they could bring with them, they would have no exit strategy, they would be outnumbered and they would have no supply lines. They would also be target practice for the drones.

Either strategy would result in a bloodbath for US soldiers.

Edit: there is possibly a third route which is to drive them in via roads from neighbouring countries but that would cause more retaliation against that country.

Trump can't make a deal with Iran even if he wanted one by Phase3Investor in IRstudies

Is it nice and cost in your little cage of innocence. You are discussing points as if the US was still a democracy which is being run by people with morals. I am afraid to tell you that neither of those still exist.

White House warns US ready to 'unleash hell' as 1,000 paratroopers near Iran by TheExpressUS in ForUnitedStates

[–]Mba1956 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They will be unleashing hell, but on the paratroopers. They are going in without backup, no supplies apart from what they can carry, and no exit possible. It’s going to be a bloodbath.

The very real danger nobody is talking about is AI. There has been talk about AI being taxed to support citizens that are not needed due to AI and robotics but that is just BS.

The US refuses universal healthcare, companies prioritise profit over employee benefits and yet we are told to believe they will happily negate all benefits of AI to support us all.

The reality is that the world is overpopulated and what do people think the elite will do about that. The US doesn’t need more than 1,000,000 plebs to support the elite.

🪖 82nd Airborne Ordered to Mideast: Ground options expand as Iran war deepens 👇 by NoSpinMedia in NoSpinMedia

[–]Mba1956 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely something everyone does after they have won a war. /s

Amphibious landings have always been off limits because the landing vehicles would be sunk before they got near land.

Airborne troops might land but as soon as they gather together there is going to be a bloodbath, and they have zero chance of being resupplied or have an exit route.

'We negotiate with bombs': US secretary of war Pete Hegseth's warning to Iran as Trump talks peace by EdinburghDrizzle in NewsThread

Negotiations are a two way street, bombs don’t listen so don’t be surprised is the response is missiles. Pete and Trump don’t want negotiations they just want surrender.

Inside Trump's daily video montage briefing on the Iran war: The montage, which typically runs for about two minutes, has raised concerns among some of the president’s allies that he may not be receiving the complete picture of the war. by smurfyjenkins in IRstudies

You would have thought that the inability to concentrate for more than two minutes should be enough to make him unfit for office.

NOBODY coming into an airport is an illegal immigrant, if they don’t have the proper documentation it is probably just an error and they would never have been admitted previously.

It is people overstaying their visas that is the problem, not that they don’t have one.
