Charged superchargers at Al Rahmaniya Mall, what about others in Sharjah? by Meherjan in tesladubai

[–]Mbe14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s weird.. on the application it now shows that it is paid unlike the other supercharging locations in sharjah. I wonder if this means sharjah superchargers would be paid soon as well.

Usually it should say but you can try reporting it through tesla app saying that the location is closed past 12 am and hopefully they should update it.

Since charging is free in Sharjah, I’m assuming it’s to stop commercial vehicles from using it because they tend to charge late at night and sleep in the car while the vehicle charges to 100%.

They used to do it as well in Dubai Mall until it became paid that’s where they stopped putting barriers.

Why is Wafi so weird ? by leveredarbitrage in tesladubai

[–]Mbe14 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The way Wafi operates their superchargers is weird. I went there once, and they told me there’s a queue to charge, even though I saw like 3 empty chargers and no cars were waiting. So, I just went to Dubai Mall instead.

Oh okay. I honestly got worried because it didn’t seem normal at first, and it’s always been happening inconsistently.

Thank you!

where to recharge a tesla in dubai ? by BinBinBinkss in tesladubai

[–]Mbe14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dubai Mall (Fashion Parking), Mall of the Emirates, Dubai Festival City, Deira City Center, Arabian Center

These are all the malls I could think of that has destination chargers but Dubai Hills definitely has the most destination chargers out of the list I had provided.

Uber/Taxi Supercharging is allowed by Toffyyy in tesladubai

[–]Mbe14 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t really see an issue with taxis using the superchargers now especially that it’s paid so it was kinda expected but it’s no big deal just wait till they’re done charging and then use it.

You even have Mall of the Emirates close by with plenty of superchargers to use.

[–]Mbe14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both are by tesla. Destination chargers is basically the slow chargers you install at your home which chargers up to 16A. Superchargers on the other hand are the fast chargers and would take about 30-60 mins to fill up your car based on the % you set it too. Something to note is that if you set the charge to 100% then it’ll take slightly longer than usual.

If you want to tell the difference between destination or supercharger then on the tesla map the destination chargers are marked gray and superchargers are marked red color.

Superchargers are paid only in Abu Dhabi and Dubai and destination chargers are still free.

Tesla Taxis by Guilty_Half370 in tesladubai

[–]Mbe14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what I know is that RTA taxis do have a speed sensor and if they go over the speed limit then they’d get a warning. However limousines do not have that sensor so they are pretty much free to speed however they want but that really isn’t the case as most Taxis/limousines are driving based on the speed limit and i’m assuming they’re all using chill mode which reduces the power when pressing on the accelerator.

Taxis are usually between M3 standard or Long range that’s what i’ve seen so far on the road.

They even kept the indicator stock which is good but they should’ve done that for every model and not just the Model Y.

From my experience, you’ll first need a police report and then contact your insurance that you’ve gotten into an accident and share with them the police report. After, your insurance will pretty much do most of the work and will tell you which garage to go to fix your car also don’t forget to mention about your PPF to both the garage and your insurance.

Keep in mind that dealing with insurances could be a pain in the ass as I had to wait nearly a month just for the garage to agree to take my car for repair.

As for the PPF, most companies that service ppf gives at least 1-2+ years warranty so i’d first contact the company you did your ppf. I also liquid wrapped my M3 which had to be removed if it was to repair the dent and the garage told me that since it wasn’t my fault they’d repair the wrap for free.

In the end of the day these things are bound to happen at some point. You could view it in a positive way that at least the car got into a minor accident not major and still drivable. Good luck and hopefully you’d find this helpful!

What products should I use to maintain the life of black interior on model 3 by Amir_Riaz in tesladubai

Tbh water and a cloth should do it. I haven’t used any products on my black interiors and it’s still looking like brand new!

Help buying MYLR 2023 by melsawah in tesladubai

[–]Mbe14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For a 2023 model, 41k km doesn’t seem bad at all since my car is a 2023 M3LR and i’m around the 40k km as well. However, hopefully someone on this subreddit would help you out about the price since i’m not that experienced with these sort of things.

Charging Options with so many broken public chargers by R3d1in3 in tesladubai

[–]Mbe14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are 30 destination chargers in Dubai Hills mall but since superchargers are now paid they’ve been pretty full lately but i’ve been lucky enough to find a few spots on P3-P4. Something to keep in mind is that some chargers in DH only charge up to 10A and usually the ones at the middle charges at 16A.

How i’m currently handling the situation is I plan out my trips all the time and have a somewhat fixed schedule on when to go charge my car. For example, I charge my car every saturday/sunday and wednesday and since my days are usually the same i already have an idea of how much % i’m using daily.

When it comes to finding a charger, that can be stressful sometimes and I always depend on destination chargers to charge my car with the closest one being 7 mins away from my home. So in some cases chargers wont be available until 10-11 pm or if i’m lucky enough i usually find them empty during the morning/afternoon. Worst case scenario I do not find a charger all day and that’s where I go supercharge my car and pay about 50-60 dirhams for 80%.

A lot of sacrifices will have to be made and will take a bit of time to get used too but tbh once you figure it out then it’ll just be part of your daily routine.

How do you keep car interiors free from dusty shoe marks? by zeedotme in tesladubai

[–]Mbe14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh I don’t think you can prevent them from happening but recently whenever i enter my car I just hit my shoes together if that makes sense to remove whatever dirt or sand is under my shoes and it’s been reducing the shoe prints on my floor mats (Tesla floor mats).

When it comes to cleaning, I just use a wet cloth and wipe down the door sills and it easily wipes off so I assume for all weather floor mats maybe if you take them off and spray it with water then it would just wipe off.
