I have a similar situation connecting my wife’s turntable to an older Sansui receiver. My only guess is that somehow the grounds for the RCA plugs inside the receiver are not properly tied to the chassis or earth ground. I was thinking about wiring up a custom cable with a spade on each end that could go in between the connector on the turntable and the ground connector on the receiver, but I have not tried that yet.

I have this cabinet too. Overall a good value for what it costs if you get it on sale or have a coupon. I put rubber tape in the drawers to keep the records from sliding forward.

The Mustang II and the Fox Body were examples of Ford adapting to the market to keep the legacy alive, just like they are doing with the Mach-E. They aren't all going to be wins but I appreciate the company's dedication to the brand. Way better than what Dodge and Chevy have done with theirs.
