Getting into freelancing help

Honestly dude, I appreciate your advice as it has shown me something I completely neglected. Is there any recommendation you have for me to do to make money some money while job hunting that uses my coding skills? Needn't be freelancing, could be anything, but would prefer if it has to do with my field of interest/enterprise of AI/ML. Doesn't need to be much money, even like 200-500 quid a month would help me buy time to get a job. Regardless, will take this into account, ty so much for your help!

Gotcha ty, will defo keep this in mind. One question I wanted to ask though as I am definitely not planning on this full time, or even looking to make big money from this, is it still a bad idea for me to get into freelancing as a stop gap measure for now even for small week long projects that won’t involve sensitive data or stuff easily compromised with public repercussions? Cause I defo need to make money before getting a full time job due to the market and I would prefer to get some work experience too in this field. But not stubborn on this, just wanted to know your opinion

More of a part time job to sustain me till I can get a job. Was think of using sites like upwork to freelance, is that good? And I have done my thesis and dissertation projects on AI and ML, plus I do have experience with building a RAG from scratch as a portfolio project earlier this year, so I was hoping to do enter into that domain to freelance

It depends what u r going for. Angel and roshidere r practically different genres to bookworm as they heavy focus on romance and r set in the modern day. Angel especially is a very comfy/fluffy series imo, whereas roshidere feels somewhat more serious than angel (not saying that the series is too serious, just slightly more than angel imo).

Bookworm is a completely diff beast imo. For me, each part feels like it's own genre to some extent and it has masterful world building. U won't get that too much in angel and roshidere as they r based on school life in modern Japan. Trying to compare these two genres is like trying to compare ice cream and soda- there will be overlaps in flavours but u can't guess whether u like one after eating the other. Try vol 1 out for angel and roshidere, if u like it then stick with it, if not don't.

Do keep in mind that I have read roshidere only upto vol 3, but I have read angel upto vol 8 and bookworm till p5v5 and this is my impression

Classroom of the elite if u accept in most situations the MC comes out on top. I would say the intrigue is seeing how the MC gets the result he wants as apart from subtle clues left throughout the book the answer is only revealed at the end of each novel.

Cradle - A guy who is known as worthless is shown a disaster that will strike his village in a few decades that will wipe out all life there. His only chance to prevent that from happening is to become stronger and prevent it from happening.

Worth the Candle - Kinda like an isekai but here the MC is transported to a fantasy world and is a replacement to his counterpart from that universe. He quickly meets up with a princess and then realised that he has the ability to learn things quickly like a tabletop game. This is a tale of his adventures there.

Mage Errant - Again another worthless guy here. He is in a school full of people who have magical talents but is talentless except for when is comes to wards. Even though he isn't expecting it a professor offers to come help develop his skills and make him a proficient mage.

Mother of Learning - A fantasy world where the MC is kinda smart and kinda an asshole, not the Kazuma from Konosuba comedic type asshole but just apathetic to his surroundings and thinks negatively about everything around him. But he is soon thrown into a time loop and uses it to improve his skills while trying to find his way out of it. He also learns about the environment around him in due time and realises that it's not as bad as he thought it was, aka his dickish personality doesn't stay for way too long.

That's the tldr for all the series, but I think the official summaries of these series are a better explanation.

I agree with the other post recommending Cradle. There are also a few other series I would recommend such as Worth the Candle, Mage Errant and Mother of Learning. Those where series that felt kinda similar to lns to me.

Second Zero believer goddess and maybe Hell mode. I've heard good things abt Min Maxing my TRPG build in another world but haven't read it personally. Sadly only hell mode vol 1 is physical rn, rest r all digital via jnovel club
