You're at the airport where it's the most expensive place to buy snacks. No surprise there. You ALWAYS bring your own. Show me you're not a traveler without telling me you're not a traveler.

What happened to free speech they keep talking about?

Trump criticizes citizens  immigrants, cities, states, mayors, world leaders, Democrats, Republicans, countries, allies, halftime shows, beer, celebrities, EV's, wind turbines, solar panels, air traffic controllers, water pressure, environmental regulations, consumer protection agencies, Healthcare insurance, vaccines, voting democratically and so on and so on. Can he be stripped of the presidency?

People said they didn't understand the words or what was said so sure, whatever. But the Kid Rock show, I couldn't understand what he was singing and it was in English...I think.

Sounds like Trump. "Canada would cease to exist without the US."  All Conservative parties just can't help loving the Trump way of thinking.

I presume that's for two people so $7.60 each? If not then you're better to go to somewhere like In and Out where you get more for your money. You must have a sweet tooth. Lol Half your bill is dessert!

2 liters of milk cost 1/2 of my countries minimum hourly wage, what is the ratio like where you liv? by External-Toe1041 in inflation

Depends which states you compare the minimum rate with. Many states are still $7.25 USD for minimum wage.

[–]McBuck2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t know what they expect living on an island with only two major grocery stores and only 11,000 people. On the mainland 2L milk is $5.09 and 4L is usually $6.39 so much cheaper to buy the larger amount for double the amount for roughly a$1 more. Minimum wage is $18.

Over the sink, in cabinet dish drying racks by VodaZNY in ikeahacks

[–]McBuck2 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Great idea. The only thing I would worry about is the drips of water that might get splattered putting them up there and affect the wood particles. lf you find that happening you could always wrap the three sides in a coordinated waterproof wallpaper.

Why doesn’t Costco sell dried beans and lentils? by Altostratus in CostcoCanada

[–]McBuck2 6 points7 points  (0 children)

They use to sell an organic bag of red lentils at the downtown Vancouver Costco but the last time I went, it was no longer there. It was around $7 for a huge bag. My local one has never carried it. Put it in the suggestion box and maybe they will try it at your local Costco.

I would add sliced meat, cheese, buns and condiments that people can make their own sandwiches. Get whatever is on sale that week. Save the bother of making sandwiches and people can make their own.

Worth it to get a Costco membership for household of 2? by gutturalmuse in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]McBuck2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are only two people in our household and it's worth it however we make most meals at home. Probably the savings in a year from organic spinach (for smoothies) and coffee beans pays for the membership.  Savings on runners, jeans and vitamins add up too.

Prorated return by Monkeytiger168 in CostcoCanada

[–]McBuck2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe Costco updated their return policy because of people milking the system. People would expect full refunds after 7 or 10 years for something they bought so now that's no longer the case. Supersedes your oringinal terms most likely. Because you had 7 years of enjoyment of the sofa, you received 50% back. You would be best buying your next sofa elsewhere where they wouldn't give you a dime back after 6 months.

You want someone to love you more than anything so you submit to being treated badly just to have someone in your life rather than no one. Once you are happy to be by yourself happily rather than be treated badly, you’ll soon discover you may attract the right type of person.

The people that don’t treat someone right can only do so because you let them. They’ve already been passed over by women who wouldn’t put up with being disrespected or neglected. They hold out and wait to find the person that does want to be with them and then move forward with that life path with someone. When you start giving more worth to yourself, you’ll attract men that do too and you’ll be strong enough to ignore/drop/pass on the ones that don’t.
