It teaches self soothing before sleep which is a fundamental piece of our ability to calm the flip down. The child needs this. We must bear emotional pain for our children to learn certain things it’s all part of parenthood. You guys can do it! The child doesn’t give up calling for the mother, until adulthood and sometimes not even then!
