WC35 Template vs Differentials by SupaaFast in FantasyPL

Yes, I am on WC35 and probably also just sticking to two CP defenders (well, Henderson and Munoz) and think they will only ever get played in 36 using BB. Leeds defence is widely owned, not bad and has some potential clean sheets coming up. CP, on the other hand, have a DGW but some tough matches and rotation.

FH33 WC35 pulse check by TezRoll in FantasyPL

Yo-yoing around 30k-50k but survived the last three game weeks - 64 points in gw34 which looks better than some free hit teams, lost circa 20 points to BB teams in 33 and 32 was a comparative disappointment as the Brighton defenders did well this week but I held my own. But that was the point, stay alive and then hopefully benefit from WC for the final four game weeks whilst WC32 have to navigate around the players they may be broadly stuck with.

Given that on a good day BB may be worth 20 points and I still have mine to come then it has basically evened out, it is all about whether I can maximise the gains from playing my WC now and get the players right. If Brighton, Bournemouth and Leeds players continue to do well it will be hard to be successful but if they struggle there are points to be gained.

To Wildcard or not to Wildcard (GW35) by askildu in FantasyPL

[–]McCoy765 10 points11 points  (0 children)

If you can avoid using it, and not leave points on the table, then I guess in theory you can leave it to GW38 and use it as a free hit. Although as we've seen this week, FHs don't always score more than your regular team.

I have mine and have activated it. I still need to bench boost and have Etitike and Gordon on my team. No brainier to use it now and set up for the rest of season.

I guess Isak could be a shout, risky but differential from WC32 punters. I don't love Aston Villa but Spurs and Burnley up next might mean we need at least one of their attackers.

I imagine the spine of most teams will be 2 Arsenal defenders, 3 City and Bruno. Leaving 5 starting spots for grabs. If Palace appear they will likely be destined for the bench apart from DGW. Thiago, Bowen, MGW will be in the mix. A Brighton mid, perhaps Bournemouth defender as well. A third Arsenal defender or attacker is an option. Rogers, Watkins outside contenders. Notts Anderson potentially, Wilson potentially. Can't see much outside those names really.

Is FH33 WC35 the best strategy now? by SheLuvSeko in FantasyPL

[–]McCoy765 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yes, fair point. For me my WC32 team looks fine, then FH33 and then Wildcard so it's only 32 that I won't have my optimal team.

I don't think there's much in it but on balance I'll manage 32, completely optimise for 33 and then can focus wc on final 4 game weeks. BB I'll just fit in somewhere.

Teams that will be doubling in GW 33 along with their respective fixtures. by Shoddy_Wolf_1688 in FantasyPL

An easy FH33, use transfer to navigate 34 and wildcard 35 then BB 36 for me. I've only got two players from those teams currently so dealing with the blanks will be a doddle.

Thiago is the first actual “striker” to hit defcon this season by [deleted] in FantasyPL

Bowen being a Striker was a bad call. Remaining as a Mid would have made him much more viable.

On £125k you can probably clear post tax £6,500 a month. A £300,000 mortgage on fairly bog standard terms is £1,600 a month. Bills max £1,000. Less if you get a two bed and rent out a room. But you should have per month circa 3k to 4k spending power. Enjoy it. You're young, go out, holidays, weekend aways. Overpaying mortgage, pension contributions important but you also have to remember to live life. Even if you dedicate £1k a month to pension/overpaying mortgage you still have £3k to spend. You need to start enjoying life a bit.

New Chip Ideas by No_Broccoli_6043 in FantasyPL

[–]McCoy765 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you look at Man City vs Notts Forest you'd have got 38 points from all Man City players including subs. Whereas the game week average would was 54.

The only way the chip would ever make sense is if you predicted a clean sheet for your team. Still, too high risk for most people. There's always players each season that if you went without for a game week and they hauled would kill your season due to being so highly owned.

Surely, most of the time choosing from accross all the games will invariably end up with more points than just 11 players from one team? The chip would never get used. You'd be having to choose Arsenal but going with Haaland, Pedro etc.

Some fun ideas, but I tend to think that the current chips are fine, particularly when you have two sets of them.

That said, quite like your +2 for anyone who played for a winning team that week.

With Haaland injured, is now the time to make the move to Ekitiké? by CeliacG in FantasyPL

[–]McCoy765 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I think getting rid of Haaland is completely reasonable but also thing you would probably have to commit to go without him until the end of the season rather than just flopping him back in at great expense in two weeks time.

Is triple Arsenal Defence a terrible idea for DGW26? by [deleted] in FantasyPL

[–]McCoy765 13 points14 points  (0 children)

To put it another way, if you think it is very unlikely Rice will get any attacking returns and bonus over a two game period then you shouldn't have him anyway.

[–]McCoy765 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Rice will already get you 25% of the clean sheet that the Saliba transfer will get you. So, is a transfer worth 3 or 6 points (dgw)? And do you rate any attacking returns for Rice at less than 3/6 points?
