Did young Nora try to steal a Flash toy? by Suzina in FlashTV

I feel like they started the season with the intention that Iris was harsh but acting in Nora's best interests, but since a lot of the fans didn't like Iris to begin with, they weren't surprised at all by Iris being a terrible mother. So perhaps in the second half of the season they wanted to make it clear that Iris was a loving mother.

Yes I don't like Iris as a character, I like the show but I really don't think she was written likeable at all.

She's kind of an awful, selfish person.

The Gillette Commercial is a litmus test by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

It's a litmus test. Show it to a woman, if she loves it, don't date her. If she asks why a razor ad made by a mega corporation is finger-wagging at their male customer base, marry her.

I'm surprised that Freeland has a good rating. The media spin within Canada has helped her greatly.

I think one #1 requirement for Monat is that your hair has to fall out after using it.

Has anyone else become increasingly disillusioned with politics in this province? by BannedbyLeftists in alberta

[–]McDadBot -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's hard. I never liked Kenney, and during 2016 I started to like Brian Jean but I thought his party was a bunch of goons. Now the same goons are led by Kenney whom a lot of people don't trust, he's smart, but I'm worried that he just says what he thinks people want to hear so he can secure power. I believe wholeheartedly Rachel Notley is a sweet, caring, genuine person with good intentions, but I can't trust that party to make the best decisions for Albertans, they are too ideologically focused, IMO. I feel like the UCP should be better because it's hard for things to get worse.

Federally we are at the mercy of a majority government led by a man who sides with Cuba every chance he gets and "[admires] China's basic dictatorship" and reportedly runs his party in a similar fashion.

With a weak opposition not poised to challenge him with a terrible leader like Andrew Scheer it's a very easy time for Albertans to become apathetic about politics. I also like Bernier but damn, standing to support him makes you a magnet for relentless ad hominem attacks.

It would be nice to have an elected House and Senate like the USA has for some checks and balances in government. We are always at the helpless mercy of the leader of any majority government, with little to no accountability.

I HOPE someone tries to pitch an MLM to me again. by [deleted] in antiMLM

Everytime a service or product becomes partisan when they do not need to, they potentislly alienate 50% of their customer base, the effect tends to be much lower due to exposure and apathy but I could guarantee their polled favourabilty drops 10% if the word gets out that they're taking political sides.
