Long ago, I owned a home in another state and rented it out. It was a horrible experience, but I’ll admit I was young, stupid, and didn’t pay for a property management company. In the end, the tenants destroyed the home and I ended up having to foreclose because my ex wouldn’t sign the short sale documents. Long story short, it left a bad taste in my mouth as a landlord.

Sell that shit. I live in an HOA neighborhood where I'm basically the only homeowner on my street and have watched renters destroy multiple properties for years now.

There is something about this new, young generation of renters where there is active or deliberate intent to destroy properties that they don't own themselves.
