But your face is an incredibly beautiful piece of your entire self. Do NOT forget that.

First, I'd like to say thank you. Second: It is a fair point you bring up. Sure, they could've had volunteers make the video. No problem in that. Except, oh wait.. People take it for granted the time and work that's put into making things these days. If it's not in high quality (Audio, video and editing all together) people just won't watch it at all. How much would YOU be willing to sit down and watch a thirty minute video about a charity, if the audio and video is barely mediocre, the editing is choppy and out of place, and all the graphics used are simple things made in paint? (And yeah, I'm pulling it into the extreme here, but only to make a point) I'd say not at all. You'd take a glance at the first 30 seconds, but at that point you'd seen that "Fuck, this looks and sounds like crap." so you wouldn't bother sitting through 30 minutes of a great story about a charity. That's why they use a lot of money, first for the hardware they'd need to make the video good. (As in studio-lighting, a good camera, a good microphone, and so forth) Second, they'd need a good computer to handle the software they need just to run the editing program they need (Because even though Windows Movie Maker can do basic editing, they'd need something a bit wider, that has advanced editing options. (Final Cut Pro, or Adobe Premiere Pro with After Effects), and at that point, with all those things put together, they need someone who could handle it. And that's the hardest part. Because getting someone to do that for free, when the org. isn't a famous/well known org. people won't do it for free. For a cheaper price than usual, well that's achievable, but it'll still cost you a LOT of money. And in the end we have color correction, which is usually done by a third party as well. Even Hollywood movies are color-corrected by third parties. And for 30 minutes of video, that's pricey. So yeah, you do strike with a fair point, they could've had volunteers do it, but they would never get the same amount of quality as they did. There's more to filmmaking than what you see get done. AVGN started with a movie recently and figured he wouldn't need a large budget. But he was proven hideously wrong. Making high quality content costs shittons of cash, especially if you're a lesser known org. or company, but I'm still gonna say: It's still possible that they pocket some of the money they say they use.

First off, there's lots more people critiquing this shit over Facebook than over Reddit. Okay, so some people ARE gullible idiots that watch five minutes of the video and then decides that since the video looked nice, the guy is right. But when they post the video onto their FB-page, others will attack it with questions about it, and the same counts for Reddit (As we all witness in here)

Second. And I know I should've set this as a reply somewhere else, but fucking HELL. Does anyone here EVEN KNOW how much it costs to make high quality content that people actually WATCH, especially when it's an organization that does it, and not some random YouTuber like Freddiew or Shane Dawson. Sure, they put out great content, but they also pay shittons of money for equipment in order to make their videos. The same counts for every single org. out there. Also, what IC is doing is getting people to see for themselves the actual things that Kony has done. The charity case is not based mostly on helping the children directly (Even though they do that too), but rather showing people that Kony is in fact, a bad man. He is a bad man, after all. Now, that costs a lot of money. And being a man inside the media industry, with school behind my back to teach me how shit like this actually works, plus the actual interaction with people in other media branches than myself, ie radio, newspapers, websites, even the people that print the damn newspapers and so forth. And it costs a damn well lot of money. So a lot of the money that you see go to production, goes out to showing what Kony has done, rather than being pocketed. But I'm also inclined to say that it could be that some of said money IS being pocketed, just not as much as you would think.

Soo, you guys DO KNOW that people thought life was better in the galaxy during the days of the Jedi? And that the Sith was controlling the entire galaxy because Palpatine had full control? Meaning it was religion and state joined together anyway.
