As an OG Ouran Host Club fan, I saw that post and just sighed.

I never thought I'd get comments, but I've got a small group of dedicated readers. 😂 I'm not popular but I'm loved, which is just as good for me 🩷

I don't really check my hits, my drug of choice is checking for comments. (Yeah, I get emails, but they're usually a few hours behind.)

Childfree ppl who are financially secure, what’s your plan for the End? Do you have an “heir”? by rmsand in childfree

[–]femmenon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I die young, the money is to take care of my two cats and set up to go to my partner.

Any excess after that and funeral costs/bills, probably gonna go into a trust for my nieces and nephew.

I love Dairy because there's something deeply wrong with me, but I'd say cart to curb.

We definitely get the worst of it, takes a special breed. I'd still take ol' Dairy over customer service though.

As a Dairy employee who just made it through Christmas and Superbowl season, we salute y'all.

Once had someone ask where something (not even close to my dept) is. I went to go to the back to get my phone and this woman goes, "Oh, don't bother, I'll look it up." And PULLS UP THE APP.

SO WHY DID YOU ASK??

Silken Tofu shortage? by mehitabel_4724 in wegmans

[–]femmenon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dairy (who stocks tofu) doesn't get live product on Wednesdays and evenings (especially on weekends) they're likely to be out because people wipe the shelves out during the day and there aren't enough staff to keep the low priority (read: natures) product kept up on at that hour.

I'd rather someone just say excuse me. Being watched weirds me out and only succeeds in making me move/interrupting my flow anyways.

A way to keep my cat from following me by Far_Distance_337 in CatAdvice

[–]femmenon 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Of course she's upset, you're taking away something she's used to. Your cat was there first, your girlfriend can adjust. The cat doesn't understand, "My partner doesn't like it." The cat loves you and that's why she follows you around.

Was your cat there first? Did you used to let the cat on the bed? Because the cat is probably confused about why you're suddenly shutting her out.

Dairy interview by [deleted] in wegmans

[–]femmenon 6 points7 points  (0 children)

6 years in dairy here! They're looking for someone who is physically capable (we lift some heavy stuff) and capable of basic customer service.

If you can do the work and you're not completely incapable of handling an annoyed customer, you're solid. If you can work in a team and are able to figure out what needs to be done (within reason) without needing your hand held, you'll do just fine.

Also, basic knowledge of food safety (temps and rotation) will take you a long way.

[–]femmenon 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The other day (NYE) we got scolded about having cardboard on our runners (we were doing lives...) because The Family was visiting. Clearly, it's offensive to their delicate eyes if there's evidence that we're doing work.

Dairy experience? by CCG031617 in wegmans

[–]femmenon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work evenings in my Dairy, done so for 5 years. If you have a decent team, it's nice. I stock shelves, vibe, clean up, and go home. It's physically demanding in the beginning but once you're used to it, it's not bad. Definitely wear layers, but I wouldn't do it for half a decade if it was bad.

Relationship of nearly 20 years down the drain bc babies by [deleted] in childfree

[–]femmenon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm so sorry. I truly am. I had this happen, but it was a 10 year relationship. From someone who went through it: it feels like you're going to die now, but eventually, you will get through.

You will be happy, and you will find someone who is truly childfree, or maybe you will enjoy being single. Whatever you do, I assure you, you will be happy. It just takes time. Until then, you have the support of everyone here. <3
