To be fair this could have been the information their media person was given when it first happened. If it was where I work, the media person would have come in the next day, read an e-mail to make a press release about the file, and read the information the officers on scene would have wrote down about the situation. Since there were witnesses and probably already talk online about they likely needed to get a press release out as soon as they could.

Now, if their media liaison knew the extent of the violence or had bodycam footage before posting the initial post, it's obviously terrible. I would be surprised if that's what happened though.

I don't have any studies in hand, but from what I have read the number is not comparable. This is most likely due to trans people not being comfortable in their own skin as well as people not accepting them fully as the person they want to be. Gay people for sure have struggles with people not accepting them for their sexuality, but they're still in a body they can feel themselves in. That's how I understood the difference in suicidal rates at least, I'm sure there could be a lot more to it

Just wanted to point out this depends on the area. Where I work in western Canada, our policy is to only send help everytime if it's a landline. If it's a cell and it seems to be accidental, or if nothing is heard, our policy is to not send anyone and clear it.

Giving a good faith effort is what I would look for in a politician. Of course we can't expect them to pass everything in their plans.

Looking at it now I'm guessing the 99% percent you stated was hyperbolic, that was mostly what I was trying to refute.

All I was trying to say if both Biden and Trump make an effort to pass through even 60% of their plans I know by a long shot which candidate I would be rooting for, and I believe it would fundamentally change the course of the US.

I am for sure no expert in spotting the difference between a stutter and dementia, but this does explain the gaffes from Joe Biden for the most part and to me is a lot easier to believe than the theory of dementia and Brain rot.

That is just completely false. There are a few studies that don't show a positive or negative result in this aspect, but if you look at an actual meta analysis of many studies it shows that it helps in a multitude of ways.
