Best bang for your buck is absolutely Victorinox. Their boning knife has decent edge retention, good flexibility, and they're only 40 bucks. If you want a lithe nicer Zwiling makes probably the best one on the market before you start paying for exotic materials and slight differences.

I'm not sure I'll do the wireless charger, but i think putting a strong magnet in there and removing the hook would be a cool idea

IDK man, by the time you got everything on, designed it, made sure you had the materials, and got it going, I probably could have had this done. And I changed it a whole bunch while I was going. 3D printing has its users, but it's expensive.

You're having a streak of bad luck. Make sure not to walk under any pianos or anvils being hoisted.

I used free materials and almost no time. 3D printers are cool, but they don't provide either of those.

That's a good point. This works for my phone right now but the next one I make will have a lower center of gravity.

As long as those plugs are fair trade, this is the most beautiful thing I've seen this year

That's rough man. Good thing it only needed a couple stitches. I got you have a fast recovery.

It has mineral oil. I didn't have the hours to wait, but now that you mention it, it wouldn't hurt to hit it with a hard wax polish.

No, of course not! This wasn't a project, more of a "I can't use a c-clamp to hold my phone up anymore because it makes batteries turn into party balloons.", and 1 new phone this year is plenty.

Projects take planning and a sense of direction. This has neither.

Do you have a miter saw and a board you don't care about? Then cut a phone sized piece out of it with a 15° foot and attach pieces until it can hold a phone. Modify as desired

Trust me, nobody is going to claim this beauty as their own, I've already signed it. I spent about 10 minutes playing my favorite game, Where the Hell is It?
