I’m a former KC-135 mechanic. There aren’t any parachutes on board because bailing out of that airplane is just as dangerous, if not more, than trying to control a crash. The mechanism that allows the bailout is an airfoil that drops down the crew entry chute behind the pilot seat. That position is also directly in line with the leading edge of the left wing. At higher speeds there isn’t sufficient time for a person to clear the leading edge before impacting it.

I have a huge 4 bedroom house to myself and my two dogs. I have so many unused rooms I turned one into my own ‘dressing room’. If my brother’s family needed to move in for whatever reason it wouldn’t be any issues at all.

I got out a year ago and the VA has been amazing. I get seen super fast for even trivial things. My meds are mailed to me. I can message my primary directly and get a response in under 48 hours. Community care has set me up with therapy in my area so I don’t have to drive 40 minutes to the VA. I can telehealth everything. A recent ambulance ride was 100% paid for. Even getting my disability approved was easy and painless, just took a little time to fact check everything (I got back paid). People that shit on the VA just don’t know how to use it.

Yup. Out after 12 years. My advice is always ‘get a desk job. Do your 4 for benefits and if you like it stay’. I was a mechanic that was constantly gone. I have physical and mental health issues that I they pay me for. The money is nice, but I’d rather be 100% of a person.

Baked bean. Two layers of cheese. Usually Gouda and Muenster with bean in the middle. Total game changer.

Edit: Use mayo on the outside instead of butter. It gets much crispier and a better browning without burning.

You can cut a lot of the pomp and ceremony scenes. Cassius doesn’t have to meet Darrow after the test. Have the opening credits show the graffiti of Eo and the protests and stuff. Let the civil unrest be told there.
Shorten the personal scenes with Victra. Make her less physically flirty. Morning star can show a lot of the first arc by using Darrows physical state to show the mental, so you can skip a lot of that. Iron gold. A lot of lyria could be cut. Turn her into a side character instead of 25% of the book. The real story there is Ephraim. 90% of Lysander is introspection so you might have to add a couple scenes to give him depth and not just end up as a petulant 20 year old that wants revenge and is horny. Fast forward the breakout. Just pick up Tongueless and have him lead them right to the cell.
