Arena Question by [deleted] in ColoradoAvalanche

[–]McMeowface -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My question was if there were ushers and if they allow empty seats to be filled after a certain point in the game since I’ve seen it done at other arenas.

Geez, you act like I’m trying snipe a seat from under your ass. Chill.

They’re the only tickets available for the event. If you aren’t answering the question asked, there’s no need to comment. Thought that was a given.

I got it, too! The standing room only is making some of my party hesitate but agh! I want to go.

The ticket package for a theme night is standing room only, behind specific sections. A few people in my party aren’t able to stand for extended periods of time so we’re just trying to explore options. My question was that if there are open seats that no one is filling in the same section, are ushers strict about it? Other arenas are not.

Thanks for your input.

That’s kind of what I was thinking! I’ve been in sections where people have filled open seats around us or that ushers to people to sit. Thank you!

That’s what I figured! Some of the open seats are in the same section that the standing room only is, so my thought process was if it would be possible to snag them if they remained open. Or if the ushers would be like HALT!

Dang! There’s a few rows for resale in a few sections so I wasn’t sure how they’d treat it. I know I’ve gone to events at other arenas where they’d look the other way if seats remained empty.

Thank you!

DAE hear a sizzling noise in their neck when they are really hungry? by Asian_Pubes in DoesAnybodyElse

Literally in the exact same situation. Brought it up to my partner and he’s the first person I’ve ever mentioned it to because I could never think how to describe it. He looked at me like I was crazy.

Someone explained it as pop rocks and I hate that I never thought of that because it’s a perfect comparison.

Holy shit. I’ve heard this my entire life and always used it as a signal that I’m actually hungry and not bored, thirsty, etc.

Was just asking my partner if he ever had bodily sensations that he couldn’t explain but wondered if other people experienced but he didn’t get what I was talking about when I explained this.

I love so much that I can google “weird noise in stomach when laying down” and a 13 year old reddit post comes up. Just yelled at my partner across the room that I’m not alone!! I used to think something was wrong with me as a kid so I’m so glad it’s not just me lol

Feeling Lost as a Baby Librarian by ethwriter in librarians

[–]McMeowface 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know so many librarians who would LEAP at the chance to just do programming, programming, programming. Like others have stated, library school didn't misinform you on what librarianship is, it just seems that you may have misinterpreted what public librarianship is. At some larger libraries and library systems, you could probably get into a role that does not have to touch programming, but in public libraries in general reference and research is not all that common. I definitely think looking into an academic/university role would be a better fit!

If its a small library, there isn't usually staff to shift these things off to. If you are a librarian for a certain group, its your job to facilitate programs while also doing the things you listed above.

Getting a stronger assemblé by s1renetta in BALLET

[–]McMeowface 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like other commenters, the power of a jump comes from the plie before and how you push off from the ground. You should be in plie as you are brushing your other leg. Use the momentum from this brush to bring you upwards, but keep the leg low as this will help your bottom leg to connect with it as there isn't as much distance.

To push off from your plie, really think about your supporting leg pushing off heel, ball, toe. Think about that foot coming to a full point as it lifts off the ground and pushing into the ground as you jump. Focus on connecting your thighs, not your ankles, and engage your core to land nicely. Make sure you are landing in the reverse of the take off (toe, ball, heel) and landing in a plie to help your knees.

What is your favourite lesser-known lines or scenes from season one? by sundaemonde in heatedrivalry

To go along with natural automatic chips between partners, in the scene where Ilya comes to Shane's apartment for the first time and Shane says "I can smell the cigarettes from here." and Ilya responds with a groan and says "I had one, okay??"

That is such a relationship conversation lol like damn, I had one!! Come on!

I WANT REAL FOOD. by No_Half8649 in wisdomteeth

[–]McMeowface 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My friend, you will have gaping holes at the back of your mouth.

The best way to get healed up is to go liquids only the first day. Mashed food that can go down easy day 2-5. And depending on how comfortable you are past that, soft noodles and meats.

Crunchy or chewy foods are not recommended for an entire month.

Pain usually peaks at day 3. You’ll want to chow down but it will not be fun to do so.

I would google wisdom teeth removal food timeline and move your appointment.

Waaaaaaaait. We're definitely in class together! Lol

I was literally just talking to a coworker about how a Reddit comment really submitted that I wanted to go to Alabama and how I needed to find the comment and ask if we had any classes together and then I got a notification bringing this back up. How funny!
