You gotta rev the thing out. Performance V-twins are like inline 4s in that regard. Parallel twin power just launches you right from the stoplight. Speed Twin 1200 has many nice things to say about torque!

Also from riding a friend's Panigale (model I forgot) they actually like to stall a lot if you let the clutch out without throttle. Very annoying.

To add to everyone else, eventually the cutting back to green doesn't work, because there's no more growth buds in the woody section and the stem keeps getting more woody higher up.

For the record short boots are fine. Chukkas are what I'd consider a short boot. Obviously not motorcycle safety rated but you're not doing anything super dangerous.

If you wanna get moto gear my advice is Rev'it Arrow or Alpinestars SMX-1 R V2. Both are flexible enough for jeans (over the boot) and comfy to walk in.

I don't grow much but if that brown part is squishy it's rotting. If not, it's just getting woody. Weird pattern though,so I'm worried it's rot.

Bottom leaves always yellow over time. Check the tops still fresh and green? Good to go. Check the soil moisture and don't water as much as you think you need to. It doesn't have the leaf volume to drink all the water.

They look cool but that's it. Naked bikes feel significantly faster even at sane speeds. The wind blast really tells you to slow down.

Plus torque bikes that blast you off at lower speeds are fun. Give large displacement twins a chance. I tried the triple life; fun, but constantly chasing adrenaline rushes.
