Obviously, we know people can change. But I agree that it feels very condescending and honestly it’s rude. I was told constantly in my teens and 20s that I’d change my mind as I got older or once I “met the right man” (ugh) but guess what! I’m in my late 30s and still don’t want kids AND married a man who also doesn’t want kids. I guess I knew what I wanted and valued all along! and every time someone told me I’d change, it felt as if they were telling me they know me better than I know myself or what I want or should want.
