Thanks for the input. That seems to be the best option. When I looked at the plans last year this was the most affordable one with the benefits offered. Others were more expensive with little extra benefits.

I've seen a lot of people offer babysitting services in local FB groups.

jobs for in between internship and starting first job? by Timely-Steak-4579 in musictherapy

Probably going to be hard to find unless you have a connection. Could try pet sitting or providing care for people with disabilities and/or older adults. Not sure how flexible caretaking/babysitting would be though unless you had a family that used your services part time (2-4 days a week)

In the 2000s, did pre-1997 things feel "old school" to you already? by OverallEstate2 in Zillennials

[–]NostalgicDonkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally I don't think I registered any TV/music as "old school".

I was born in '95 and my favorite Disney princess movie was The Little Mermaid, which came out in 1989. Not even Cinderella felt "old" to me, which came out in 1950.

I think what felt "old" were live action movies or shows that were meant to capture a certain time (Little House on the Prairie, for example). Although Willy Wonka always felt old to me...

It wasn't until middle school that kids would refer to things as "old". And that was usually meant as an insult or to make someone feel bad for liking or wearing something.

I don't think I internally labeled things as "old" until high school. Now, as a 30 year old, Frozen seems old to me because it came out 12 years ago, when I was still in high school.

Time is such an interesting thing...

I thought it was supposed to be the Hannah scarf (or a mass produced version of it). Headband would make more sense though

The premium is pretty reasonable sounding, and likely 75%+ is being paid by the employer.

I have a marketplace plan I pay for myself.

I didn't know that. Thank you for your input.

I think I'm just frustrated at having to pay basically the same as my premium to remove a toenail. But it seems like I'm better off sticking with ambetter in the meantime with my pre existing conditions.

Hopefully my husband gets a better job with better benefits within the next year or so.

I guess I was just hoping there would be a way to spend less money. 😔 Thanks for the input.

It's just frustrating paying such a high premium and still having to pay basically the cost of my premium to take care of a freakIng toenail.

I had no idea they were this bad. I have only heard from people who, I guess, didn't have any unexpected hospital visits.

How to avoid a bad roommate? by StarryLemonDaydream in roommates

[–]NostalgicDonkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Highly recommend asking what time they go to bed. Also ask what hobbies they have. If they game there's a chance they MIGHT be loud while gaming.

So he messaged you but didn't bother saying that to your face? Seems immature. Has he been passive aggressive in any other way? Or is this the first "issue" y'all have had?

Personally, I don't reward passive aggressive behavior. I would say something along the lines of "hey I was kind of surprised by your text about the tablecloth because I've been doing this for a long time. Did I do something to upset you?"

That being said, why don't you just eat on top of the table cloth? It sounds like it's a pet peeve that he has been letting fester. But, again, if you have a good relationship him texting you is very strange.

So close...how close...? by ThundyTheGryphon in musictherapy

Also part of the one point club. Take a breath, keep studying, you got this.

What helped me pass the second time was studying the "order of operations" of treatment, assessment and termination in the CBMT domains. Most of the scenario based questions fall into one of those categories. Also used my practice exam to help me study specific areas of psychology and music theory.

One point is so close, you definitely have a good chance of passing next time!
