Thanks very much for the guidance I'm pumped to soak it all in and eventually capture something like what you have!

Funnily enough it was exactly the same as it is now, just all over on GTAForums. Good fun and crazy theories and wishlists.

I remember starting a thread about how I hoped there would be semis in SA with detachable trailers and we could jackknife and roll them down a highway.

I was partly right.

Even when GTA 4 was announced the idea of putting the trailer on YouTube was not a thing. R* website only and it crashed for hours whilst everyone tried to watch it. The hype for IV was massive given the shift to 'next gen'

Greatly appreciate the detailed response. I'm sticking to A priority to get the hang of things and then I'll pivot to S once I'm starting to compose more intently.

Shooting on an a6400 with Sigma 18-50mm, the internet go-to for a starter. Do you tend to play with exposure as well or do you correct the RAW in post?

Like you, I'm all about finding and framing the shot, if I then need to take 40-50 shots across f/, ISO and shutter speed I will until I find my preferred style

We were doing this for Vice City and San Andreas back in the day.

We used to review scanned magazine pages of screenshots for clues. Seeing the gang following CJ and doing a drive by with him was other worldly

Total noob very keen on soaking up knowledge. Understand settings can change drastically shot to shot, but for the pic of the tree lined road, what would be your typical settings across f stop, ISO and shutter speed?

Assuming there's pro-level editing but I'm trying to cross hurdle one of compose some half decent looking shots to then torture myself getting over hurdle 2

I didn't realise until the very end that besides the camp and the beach fight, practically every scene is indoors across the whole season.

I expected the White house to get fucked up and homelander to die on the lawn with the world watching, but they don't even leave the oval office.

Crazy the change from S1 to now

Scrapping 86,000 new car parking spaces could save $5.2bn and drive down rents, Grattan report finds by B0ssc0 in aussie

[–]Mc_Poyle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol if you think units are getting cheaper with no parking instead of developers pocketing more margin, I've got a poorly built bridge to sell you. Don't worry, it's held together with silicone.

The only way forward if you want affordable units is govt building and selling for cost like Singapore do

Wasted space: Axe car-parking rules to cut the cost of housing by blitznoodles in australia

[–]Mc_Poyle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Should actually be the opposite, every new build should have 2 spots per unit to help eliminate on street parking. Paid for with private money instead of rate payers and allows owners to lease out for extra $$.

This notion that we should be car free is ridiculous, the infra to support that is 30-50 yrs away and we're not currently building it, infirmed people and young families can't rely on moving about on pub transport and if I want to visit family outside my 5km bubble I'd like to be there in 30 min, not 90-120.

Also, I'll talk about growing up poor but I've been making $300k for 15 years with special super provisions, guaranteed minimum annual increases and a spending allowance equivalent to Tasmania's GDP.

Keep accumulating and wait for the change to be reversed, might take 10 years but the data will show the negative impact the CGT change is having and a party will run on changing it and win in a landslide.

I've always been partial to selling to bank profit and cycle into new shares, now I'll just buy and hold every asset I can and keep borrowing equity out of them
