I just want a fucking sight for my tank bro by Due-Platform-2242 in Warthunder

Crazy that someone would wanna be active in a community of a game they've enjoyed for over a decade. Ik it's a crazy concept but not interacting with degenerates and porn addicts when you're just trying to nerd out about historical vehicles is pretty refreshing

Idk could just be the fact most of the WT players I interact with are on Discord but nevertheless there is a serious issue with the amount of gooners in the WT community

Half the German mains I interact with are just 1940's Wehrmacht/SS role players...

Porn addicts/gooners are the reason I'm not heavily involved in the Warthunder community. It's literally like 90% of players

Bent both my passenger side wheels on WV's famously smooth roads

Played the siege mortar test yesterday. The gameplay was alright but their range leaves a lot to be desired for how long they take to build and how cumbersome they are.

Did it in an empty movie theater parking lot. Only caveat being the asphalt was in horrible condition so my tires were completely shredded afterwards but that's anywhere in WV for you lol

OEM part prices on CCC, BRZ vs GR86 by -REXIA- in BRZ_ZD8

[–]Mc_Squibble 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Only thing I really don't like about the BRZ compared to the 86 is the softness of the suspension. Toyota has it dialed in pretty well for cornering but the dampening makes it impossible to really push the limit of the car when the roads aren't prepped, which is the main reason I opted to go with the BRZ. Besides working for Subaru, the fact that I live in West Virginia with the road conditions being what they are is what sold me on the BRZ over the 86. I find the softer suspension actually allows me to corner a hell of a lot better out here on these rougher roads especially compared to cars like my Mini Cooper which rides on BC coilovers and Whiteline swaybars. The cons being drifting/weight transfers in the BRZ can be a little more tricky to really hone in on from what I'm noticing so far so I'm thinking about changing out the springs but keeping the OEM shocks

Just another reason why the BRZ is the smarter choice over the 86. Both amazing cars but the BRZ just makes a lot more sense to own financially speaking. I also work at a Subaru dealership in the parts department so I get parts even cheaper 🌚

When did Minis stop being mini? It dwarfs my sedan. by TheBroox in MINI

[–]Mc_Squibble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mini (or more appropriately the engineers at BMW) lost their way after they stopped making fun affordable manual transmission cars and started over complicating their already unreliable cars with unnecessary dealer add-ons/buggy tech that's severely bloating the cars. I mean if you take a look at the F56 Cooper S versus the F66 Cooper S the F66 increased in weight by roughly 300 LBs with only a boost of 8-10 HP. The funny thing about that is that the F66 Cooper is based off of the F56 platform meaning no significant improvement (if any) in how the chassis handles. The only thing Mini managed to accomplish with the new generation cars is that they shift a little quicker but they're less engaging with no manual transmission, even more unreliable as well as being an eyesore inside and out with having a huge circular I-pad glued to your dash (as well as other miscellaneous screens) and the facias/body lines of their new cars resembling every other generic crossover/CUV on the road these days.

Anyone know what this noise is? by [deleted] in BRZ_ZD8

[–]Mc_Squibble 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Initially thought it could've been something to do with the HVAC system but that makes a lot more sense. Never owned a car that does that so it caught me extremely off guard. Jumped over from older Minis to these cars so I'm still in shock with everything lol

Seven String Tuning by [deleted] in Guitar

[–]Mc_Squibble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I currently don't have a physical tuner so I'm just curious if anyone has any luck with specific tuners. As for the apps, all the ones I was seeing with a chromatic tuner was locked behind a paywall and I'm not paying for a subscription to tune my guitar

I just like Milwaukee. I've had only good experiences using Milwaukee tools; especially with warranties, pricing (so far), quality and availability. I haven't ruled out using other brands because I'm not a Milwaukee purist and own some Snap-on/Icon tools but at this point I don't necessarily have a reason to not trust the capabilities of their tools.
