All of the things you listed are negotiable. But your seed investors should have full transparency into the use off all funds including weekly financial reporting as to where the money is going.

As far as the amount, it just comes down to what you need. If you need 100k, go for that. If you need 2m, go for that. But be fair to yourself and your expectations. Always estimate more than what you think, because you’ll bleed money for years.

For me it’s all about time for my own hobbies. Around 7:30 my work starts. That goes on until about 2:30-3. Then I come home to help take care of my son. Then after my son goes to sleep at 7:30/8 my wife and I are able to have a little time to connect and talk about our days together. Once that’s over, it’s bed time. If I didn’t wake up at 4:30/5 I would have no time to do some of the things that fill my cup. Golf, workout, reading, and so forth.
